Tim Cain and Chris Avellone working together. Shame it's on South Park rather than an Sawyer's original IP but I'm certainly a lot more interested now.

According to MCA's Facebook update, he is working on the South Park RPG full time now. So it's gonna be awesome for sure now. :smug:
What was he working on before? Did something got canceled? Anyone's keeping track?

Sometimes crazy ideas can result in something pleasant. I wouldn't write off a South Park RPG quite yet.

Not sure I like the fighting system (based only on the few screenshots that are out, granted) but since I like both Obsidian and SP, I'll definitely give it a try - beating up jews, hippies and gingers is enough motivation already.

No, he worked on Alpha Brotocol while NV was in production, moved to NV in the late stages, worked on the dlc, then on an unanounced project, then this.
I also find it weird that he's now working full time on this and there's still no news on the mysterious project. Unless they make an announcement soon, it probably got cancelled, which would suck for Obsidian.

Oh great, so now people will be praising this no matter how bad it is just because of MCA.

The other mysterious project is Sawyer's IP, and judging from his twitter posts he's probably writing that himself. So no, not cancelled.

Still, there should be an XBLA title, Project Virginia I think, no idea what happened to that.

From five months ago:
I am not on any single project now that the DLCs are wrapped up, I’m more involved with the high-level design pipelines of the company, playing builds, providing feedback, and writing new game pitches for publishers.

That's a good thing isn't it? Obsidian stays alive by constantly having projects being developed. Maybe with the extra time they can get another project setup with a publisher and, more importantly, setup that darn Kickstarter.
