Just as many times Roguey posts a formspring link or quotes a passage from Obsidian forums (I guess, I never follow the links) to add to a discussion with roughly 0% of the post coming from Roguey. I'm pretty sure s/he could create a Josh Sawyer standard response index/FAQ type thingy for any and all discussions on this forum.

Whatever. I'm just imagining Roguey printing that FUCKING BITCH'S picture from the bike ride and taping it to a crude female effigy.

I'm kind of sad that some Codexians are chimping out over the fact that they can't save everyone in a war-torn desert area o_O

Who cares. I won't lose any sleep if they hack the game to ignore all this hot "C&C" of press A to save Highpool and press B to save Agricultural Center

Let people play their game however they want

To be fair, if you're going to be building your party like I am. All members will be building off each other, considering how we're allowed a limit of four rangers you'd achieve nothing! Of course saying that complete destruction may not happen, they didn't exactly say what would happen if we chose Highpool instead of the AG. Another team may ride by and take the rewards and something bad has happened because of that. Eh, what do I know?

What's wrong with this fuckers that can't accept that your choices can cut content from your gameplay? It's a pretty cool mechanic and adds to the replayability. Maybe you would be better playing Oblivion if you want to get access to all the content that should be mutually exclusive?
Yes, just make your choices irrelevant. Who needs C&C in an RPG anyway?
Some people just cannot accept the casualties of war.
And I envy them their sweet, sweet naïveté. But in my world it's dark and it's dirty and it stinks. I mean it really smells bad here. What IS that?
I hope they stick to this kind of design. Not being able to save everyone would be pretty refreshing, for a change.

Way to miss the point.

I'm all about choices if they make sense in terms of the game reality. Sending water to the vault in Fallout extended your time limit, but had the consequence of letting everyone in the wasteland know where your vault is. This made sense. Artificial mutually exclusive choices, which don't make sense in terms of the game world and are created only to provide replay value are not a good mechanic.

If Wasteland 2 choice 'save one town or the other' makes similar sense I will not have a problem with that, but right now, I don't see that. Being a 4-strong Ranger squad I should be able to split into two 2-person teams and head into each town, and make an attempt to save them both (and possibly fail to save either, since two people are much less capable than four).

If there is an in-game explanation for not being to able to split the party like, this, then I will be fine with that. But the explanation should be better than 'we don't have a party splitting mechanics'. I would expect something like 'both town need help immediately, but you will never make it on foot, and we only have one vehicle to drive you, so pick where'. Such a thing does not make any sense in XCOM, where a global alien fighting organziation should be able to afford more than one helicopter, but it would make sense in a post-apocalyptic reality with few working vehicles.

TUN has a video on this, BTW:

I can't wait to see how much butthurt this game causes when it's actually released.

"PRINCE VALIANT WANTS TO END FUN [inXile's Wasteland 2 Thread]" would be even funnier. ;)
Not very accurate though. How about "INXILE ARE A BUNCH OF LYING BASTARDS [Wasteland 2 Thread]"? :P

individual inventories with weight limits

Horrible stuff.
Which is it in PE, again? Endless inventory, get everything, carry the whole world in your pocket? WOAH SO MUCH FUN IM HAVING A BLAST ALREADY
An unlimited stash you can only access at rest points with a limited top of the pack to encourage making good strategic decisions. An inventory system with minimum micromanagement tedium designed for people who play games.

It sure is to cause massive amounts of butthurt, but that's what you get when targeting one of the most butthurt-happy group of gamers. :troll:

Weird that there's no diagonal movement. Or is that a more common thing in square grid games than I think it is?

Love the enhanced sniper tactics: oh no, close combat, step back a few squares, kill baddy, get back into position. Could've just made it fire slower guys .

Oh well, all complained out. Ooh, almost forgot, the humor's shitty.

The game should have overwatch, so it is different as moving out of cover can get you shot.

Haven't watched the video yet.

It does. I don't think the AI uses it this video though, but they used it against me quite a few times when I was running the demo at GamesCom.

This area is a bit graphically dull compared to the Ag Center. Shame about that, now the graphics whores will whine.
