I don't even find them remotely the same kind of game, so killing off swg was dumb. Nearly everything about them is as far away from overlapping as you can get with two star wars products.

SWG is a proper MMO with a lot of unique features, SWTOR is a singleplayer/coop RPG with an "MMO" tumor attached.

I dont know if something changed but AFAIK Grub used to be a MS mouthpiece and his sources at Sony/other publishers were spotty at best. I do believe this game is dead tho, which is a shame since I would really enjoy seeing it release in a terrible state and crash and burn.
