I wouldn't trust those reviews. I've played a demo for about 5 hours and what striked me the most was juvenille, childish style of writing and very generic trope. It's like those japanese devs were trying to capture what they think modern, western consumer sensitivity is and deliver him a perfect product. Which is really sad, as I'm playing japanese games in search for relief from this omnipresent commie brainwashing we are dealing in Europe since about 2015. In first hour you are attacked by key words like diversity, equity on every corner and it isn't subtle at all, they are pushing it down your throat. I hope it's just bad translation(another sjw weirdo self insert) and it will turn out to be good. I liked the visuals, music and combat system, tho the combat is easy as hell - at Persona 3 remake level(didn't die once).
Did you miss the part where the English version is made by some gay genderfluid twitter jew?

It's always the people who didn't do the hard optional dungeon talking shit about the difficulty...

since regicide is fucked decided to do this now with hard difficulty

was not too bad just 2 knights spamming spear special attack and it went down in 4 turns while mc (warrior with inherited aoe heal) supported. definitely requires some luck if boss spam aoe attack or crits

got it down 5th try, obviously would be harder if I went here first instead of main dungeon would probably need to grind few levels which is not a problem with mage unlimited MP skill

not a cent to be sent Sega's way, no exceptions
if you need to play this, pirate the japanese version and install some ocr translation software

fatlust are smart sneaky japs they know how to tap into the hipster bg3 critical role nerd culture market that don't really play video games but will preorder and consume product. I'm sure they did a market study after success of persona 5 and bg3 and wondered how to get even more of these non gamers to buy their game. Turns out you need a tranny translator on board to pull this off. They have the playing it safe hollywood mopey asian drama story races fighting waaaah why cant we all be fwiends. Perfect to attract modern audiences which are most of these fake gamers identify with.

This has to be the most woke game I have ever played for longer then an hour, trying to decide if it's worth buying. Thoughts:

- UI is beautiful, graphics are terrible
- music is nice
- I like the combat, it's similar to P5 with some variations. It's easy as fuck tho, you need to play on hard for any challenge
- this is literally Twitter - the game. It's a world full of furries, where you play as blue hair "refugee" with syphilis. You got bitchy passive agressive Fairy companion, who explains the power of diversity to you and how you should not give attention to rascist blaming you for being "special". You got character skills like Tolerance and DEI healing spell. Get it? Diversity Equity Inclusion heals. You got skill like eloquence. Do you know how to increase this stat? By talking to activist, giving her money and agreeing with everything she says. Because she is fighting a good fight. Don't question it, don't ask about connections with foreign intelligence, the validity of being glued to the street, destruction of cultural legacy or even why doesn't she have a real job - you won't get the points then!
- it's a woke game about winnig the election, released month before election in USA. Judging by how woke it is, I wouldn't be surprised if Trump was an end game boss.
- translation is done by a woke mob, with a lot of self inserts and changes to characters personalities.
- retarded and childish story presentation and dialogs in heavy dialog game. You will not know wtf is going on because skipping the dialog is necessary. It's far beyond even P5 mumbling.
- the game is soothing, it somehow makes you calm when it takes a short break from being retarded. You can feel that there was a foundation of a game before this "modern audience" treatment. Still hope it's all smoke and mirrors, there will be a gotcha moment later and it turns out to be actually a smart game.
- overall I'm pissed, because I was waiting for this game and had a high hopes for it. I'm even more pissed for still trying to like it.

I will wait and watch a playthrough, to see if the rest of the game is the same or is there an unexpected turn.

Was the healing spell also called DEI in the japanese version? Or is this another creative liberty from our lovely localization team?

I could use a long jrpg right now, but won't be able to stomach the game if it's woke.

My impression from reading excerpts is that Atlus made the game as gay as could be within the limits of Japanese culture, and then a group of activists localized it into the blackest depths of Western mindrot. I hope this doesn't have implications for many of Atlus' other games because I like a lot of them.

It all started by western counterpart changing localization choice of words bit by bit to convince Japenese office that this is required for western market to now Japanese will start making games for blue-haired liberals from zero

This game is one such project it seems. SEGA and Squeenix is gone.

See, if they wanted to sell it as a woke as fuck homo game, and people buy it for that reason, fine. But comments like this tells me Persona fans are being duped. Meanwhile they'll sell its success as a victory for progressive content.

My good friend, I fear you're being duped as to how things work nowadays. The market isn't such that companies seek to put out products that core fans enjoy. It's such that they put out content and fans better like it, or else.
