Persona 4 on PCSX2/laptop. I have a yellow fever, fuck yeah!
Digimon World for Play 1.What game is that?
Are you abusing buffs as well? The dispel skill for debuffs isn't the same as the one for buffs. Some bosses can't handle one or the other.
Yeah, but the only ones I really have are Rakukaja and Sukukaja (no Makukaja and I don't think you can get any -kajaoan spells this early). I mean, I have Tarukaja on one demon, but that really doesn't get things going fast enough to stop the rape. Double Rakukaja, one Sukukaja, and Fog Breath in the first turn was good enough to really take over the Matador fight (and the fact that everybody but my main character nulled or drained force...that helped too), but Dante just lols at triple Rakukaja and Fog Breath and proceeds to critical hit rape and kill a few demons on his first turn, or one shot the main character. Media can't stop getting one-shotted.
Another protip: Sometimes it's worth it to throw a debuff on the boss, if they're going to obsessively remove debuffs you can make them waste a precious turn. You get 4 after all. More if they have a weakness or you score some crits.
Yeah, he seems to like using that crappy item from DMC2 move midway through the fight once he eats a debuff, but on the third phase he just taunts and does bullet time for massive damage to the whole party, never wasting a turn for Holy Star.
I think I either have to get some physical resistant demons, or just level up once to get Force Boost on my main character and hope I can race him with Tornado instead of Fog Breathing him. Tornado does massive damage already; if the boost skills are anything close to the 50% boost they were in Devil Summoner...Tornado would be insane.

Man I wasted DAYs of my life on this game, it was hard and cruel. I remeber when I finally got a MetalMamemon he lastes like 2 hours and died of old age...couldn't even battle with my friends.
I really miss monster raising games like this one, Pokemon is great, but Digimon monsters are way more interesting...shame they only did shitty games after the PS1. Anyone knows of a non-shitty game like this?

Humm...I played my fair share of MR 2 too, was really fun to test every fucking cd available to see what monster would come out (Iron Maiden only gave out shitty monsters )...it was a fun game, but the monsters were kind of dull...Monster Rancher? It's quite similar, from the actual training with actual exercises and orders during combat instead of direct control to the "FUCK YEAH WE ARE FINALLY STRONG ENOUGH TO FIGHT THE BIG Bwhat do you mean you're dying of old age? " factor. MR4 for the PS2 is said to be the best (I have only really played 1, 2 and the ones for the gba.

First time playing Ultima VII. I have to play with Exult because the lack of smooth scrolling in the original DOS version gives me a headache. After getting used to the interface (and putting up with the horrible inventory and combat) I'm finding the game to be a huge amount of fun. Admittedly some of the quest design is pretty ridiculous and there is a lot of back-and-forth, but the world, characters, dialogue, and so on are all very entertaining even today. I could never get into the older Ultimas simply because I have trouble playing games quite that archaic as far as interface and visuals go, but Ultima VII hits a great sweet spot.
Roma Surrectum (meaning "Rome Arises") is a complete remake of the game, both graphically and in its gameplay. Improvements include a new economic system with hundreds of new buildings, an accurate and graphically improved campaign map, massively upgraded battlefield environments with more realistic custom-built vegetation, new factions, 28 unique Roman legions, and over 500 highly detailed and more historically accurate units.
Took a break from playing boring-ass NWN to figure my way through Zork (which I thought I'd played at school, but it must have been a different game there, as there was a well but no well in Zork as I encountered). Won it last night
You may've played Adventure at school. Zork heavily borrowed from it in parts.
You should try Infocom's "middle" games; their early and late ones are not the best, but in the mid-80's they made some of their best games (Trinity, Enchanter trilogy, and so on)
Started playing Roma Surrectum (2.1a) again, a Rome: Total War mod.
