I have a feeling it just might get to 3. It's going to be very close.

If Brian Fargo is reading this, he should do more video updates. They don't need to be professional things with actors, just record yourself talking about the game and updates rather than just text things.

It helps.

Unless some more bomb shells are going to be dropped, I find it hard to believe this will manage 3.0 million. I think 2.5 is realistic, and perhaps 2.75 with an unbelievable late surge. As much as I would love to see Brian with a 3 mil budget, I can't see it happening.

I agree.

And bah, guess they took Good Friday off.

Oh well, we passed $2.1M, so that's cool.

I think Fargo said something in Twitter about some concept art showing the Rangers, maybe is that.

Yeah, Wallin's piece. It's not out yet, but I've seen it and agree with Fargo, it's p sweet. Fairly standard pose-wise, but a nice atmospheric first look.

Waiting for more updates, I guess.

I'll give Fargo the benefit of the doubt and say he's been running around getting things into place. 10 minutes in front of a camera shouldn't be that difficult though, not when you're funded for the full duration. Just do it live and wherever like the shadowrun guy.

I think you're all underestimating the late burst. I can see 3.5 Mil+.
I think it will be at 2.3 just before the last 24h and then hit 2.5. But maybe Fargo will add more incentives.

They are using the magic called averages. Which means it's the dumbest prediction ever. That said even though their method is retarded I think the prediction itself is sorta accurate if this project has a similar finish to DF.

Yeah, I've calculated it. The formula seems like to be Total = hourly_average * total_hours_in_the_run . Pretty lame as I've thought. I was thinking they would conjure a stochastic model with the data they have from other projects..

MCA in the next vid with his shirt off and an announcement that TC will be directly involved as well=WIN.

Really he should do a vid with MCA and Tim Cain. Or show some people from In Inxile at least. Not only himself. I really want Wasteland to get as large a budget as it is possible. This is really only kickstarter game that promises grandeur of old crpgs. And the one I'm most looking forward to.

So Jim Sterling is the first Lithuanian Hitman sent by the Industry, how many other will follow?
Can I humbly suggest to make a black list dedicated thread for such journalists and give them the Lithuanian Hitman of the month Codex Prize?

New update.

Looks like all of these Kickstarters are going to get kind of annoying about asking for more cash as their campaign progresses. It's kind of... jarring, when you can see in front of your eyes that they've more than doubled their original goal.

The POINT of doing a sales pitch for more funding is that ALL the money they get from this goes toward more development of the game.

It's not rocket science hon.

Duh. I know that on a rational level.
I'm trying to explain why the constant request for MOAR MONEY stills rubs me wrong, instinctually.

Because... there is still time remaining? Is it really that hard to understand?

No, it isn't hard to understand. I said the constant requests for more money are ANNOYING. Annoying, but justified.
