Fargo has proven to be old school all right with his pathetic marketing ability. There needs to be an all out offensive with a decent fucking video this time, some concept art, design doc preliminaries etc. for the last 10 days. As it is we have some fucking Russian Prosper spamming the KS forum with his Wasteland 'art'.

Come on fuck you Brian! Get with it!

I have to say:
One of the nicest things about Wasteland 2 so far is how it's sort of rehabilitated SoZ's reputation. Shit's gonna be SOZZY!

PayPal is a separate funding entity so no, KS wouldn't allow it. Amazon doesn't take money out of PayPal like it does KS for starters.

Kickstarter doesn't allow Paypal for another reason as well: Problem with Paypal and the Kickstarter model is that if you choose to send money via Paypal, the money gets transferred immediately as soon as you pledge money (including transaction fees). If a project turns out to be unsuccessful, Kickstarter would have to send the money back via Paypal as well, once again for a fee.
So you'd either receive less money back than you originally pledged, or Kickstarter would make a loss on unsuccessful projects. Or as a third option Kickstarter would have to charge the projects. Either way that's why Paypal is not going to happen in the foreseeable future on Kickstarter itself unless they come to some sort of agreement with Paypal and other Internet payment providers like Skrill.

The Paypal thing for Wasteland was put online only after they reached the initial funding goal for the very same reason I'd guess.

Cracked.com seems to have had a positive impact. Over 60K for today. 30K to go until 2.1M. One day more and we'll be there.

High fives all around.

Yeah, this thing has added around another $100,000 in two days? Dang! They also have a new International VAT-free digital option so our friends across the pond won't get raped by your insane tax system!

Anyone know how this compared to Double Fines at 11 days left? By the way, just watched their first video "diary" of the whole DF Kickstarter phenomenon that was posted for backers to watch.

DF backers forums includes a chart of how much they raised. With 11 days left, they had about $2.4M, but they were going pretty steadily at that point, whereas Wasteland 2 managed to have a before-end spike. DF added $.1M in the next 6 days, then about $.25-$.3M in the next 4 days, and $.5-$.6M in the last 2. Kickstarter usually follows that kind of a curve, so y'know, $2.5M is looking more and more realistic.
