Out of sheer morbidly obese curiousity I clicked on a recent Jimquisition video to see how steep the decline was. In the first few seconds I was told to subscribe to Patreon and was threatened with getting my dick sucked. I closed the video.

Also look at them channel stats. Nothing but subscriber losses every month since January 2021, and monthly views that went from 10m+ three years ago to barely breaking the 1m mark in the last few months.

I still wonder if Starling ever wrote anything that wasn't for a video, just feels odd and still pointless, Vampire Survivor isn't exactly a game that needs more lore than "there are places with a bunch of monsters, your character is under attack from them, survive as long as you can!".

Believe it or not, i wasn't exactly thinking hard about the world of Vampire Survivors and the backstory of the characters beyond what i imagined, the game just had that classic Arcade like feel, where you just play for fun and it even includes a bad ending like many classic games such as Asteroids or Space Invaders where you played till you died, i actually appreciate that, lore just ruins that feel.

Since the dev is at best troon-adjacent, this thread is now for all the other similar games.

I've been playing Crimson Dawn for the past week or so. It's looking good, but it needs more content. It's held my interest longer than most of the other games of this type so far.

Dev hired a troon to write lore, troon proceeds to write troon lore. For me this dev is blacklisted forever.

The "lore" bits are so fucking surreal, it's almost like the SJW agenda is parodying itself and self-mocking and deprecating, trying to point out exactly how hilarious it is and how it's making an issue out of every single thing.

I have no idea what they were trying to do, but the end result looks like a self-mockery of sjwism.

Been playing Boneraiser Minions. You play as a necromancer, and are restricted to a graveyard instead of a massive map. It is pretty good, although it gets hard to tell what is going on when you get a lot of minions and the new game plus needs fleshing out.

I also went back to SNKRX after not playing it since it came out. It is still good, but the balancing they did doesn't feel as fun. Although that might be because of the new game plus mode I'm on. Apparently the dev got into NFTs or some shit, and people think that's why the big engine update never came out. Oh well, I got enough fun out of it for 3 bucks. lol

Is that a separate mode? Today I unlocked the library, went in the new level and basically cleared it first try... When I hit 30 min of gameplay, all enemies despawned, death spawned in and one-shot me, ending the game. Is this how this is supposed to work?
