Stephen Russell also voice a few of the shop keepers in Skyrim along with the villainous Mercer Frey of the thieves guild. But when he voices Cynric Endell, who is also in the Thieves guild does he fall into the true dusky tones of Garrett. And that it seems is as close as we will ever get.

Me too... I remeber my first playthrough in Dark Project, went to 2nd (mine/prison level) and make 360* n0-sc0pe backjack from heigh. Dat was fun.
Currently replaying Thief 2. I'm at the Bank mission. I can't imagine how the average modern gamer could consider finish this level. I really doubt there will be a level even half as tough in the new Thiaf.
Fun fact about the bank: a majority of the cameras inside are randomly spawned on pre-defined locations, so that means that most playthroughs are different.
