So, review score predictions?

I'm going to say it evens out somewhere between 80-85. Specific prediction 83.

Unless the journos find some sjw shit to complain about it should be around 90; they'll praise the writing etc and take points cos of jank/looking dated.

Users should be around 80 if there won't be review bombing cos of epic, otherwise much lower.

Also depends on buginess. Checked out Borderlands 3 ratings and aside from Epic people have also become much less forgiving of bugs. Nearly a bigger impact than Epic actually looking through the user reviews.

I would predict a 87, unless it has tons of bugs(on the same level of Fallout 4), then it would be around 80.

They've been playtesting this for a while now. Didn't Tim finish the game like 7 times or so? And he has programming background. Plus the QA team. And the funding from Private Division/Microsoft. I don't know. But I don't think it's going to be anywhere near Bethesda level of bugs. I'd honestly be shocked.

Tim played 16 times and Leonard at least 5.

Also the game was playable for 2 years already. Tbh i also think this is the case, both people that played early said that in 4 hours in, they didn't found a single bug yet was running smooth on consoles.

Yeah around thereabouts. People want games to play and not many RPGs (excepting maybe some jRPGs) in the release holiday calendar. There's a little bit of hype left and so far the buzz and leaks haven't been too negative and has Taco Bell's blessing, so around mid 80 range. More RPG oriented reviewers might give it higher scores. RPG Codex will lovingly lavish it with criticism and scorn.

Users will be more or less divided with misplaced expectations (e.g. no open world? Thought it was like New Vegas!), and the Epic deal giving it a bit of negative perception so about 75 to 80 range.

Great interview with Games Radar (not sure if posted already):

- "Looking at the time and budget we had, we really wanted to take the time to make sure it was a polished experience....we didn't want a lot of randomised or quickly-slapped-together content, we wanted to really focus on making the content by hand and making sure it was really fun to play," Leonard Boyarsky

- "The Outer Worlds is a classless RPG; you can build your character in any way that you see fit, investing in skills and perks that you think will be interesting. There is never a single path through any mission, environment, or opportunity, and you'll have plenty of scope to improvise along the way – leaning on abilities such as smooth-talking, sneaking, and fighting as a baseline of how to proceed through each and every scenario that you stumble into. "

-"I think we've evolved since we first worked on Fallout, in terms of our understanding of how to better deliver that experience to the player," Boyarsky

- "The Outer Worlds has been playable from start to finish for about two years! I've played it at least 15 times." Tim Cain

3 more days.

Da hype is real!
