I think that is a nice compromise. KS is an "over promised-under delivered" garbage dump right now...

But I wanna be teased! Hard to reach Kickstarter stretch goals for my favourite future games make me hard. Art of Tease. Use it on me, Swordhaven

:shredder: :desu:
You screeched so much I ended up backing. I hope you're happy, faggot.
I did too! For the first time since Realms Beyond Kickstarter. Let's just hope this won't end up as Realms Beyond 2: Not Again :hahano:

Kinda lame that they won't reveil next stretch goal. I was told on Discord that there are more stretch goals and they are currently 763 over the target with 4h+ left and those stretch goals won't be shown. Not even just next one. Why?

TEASE US UNTIL WE CUM IN OUR PANTS!

Dev did say that there might be post-mortem with all planned stretch goals shown, once Kickstarter campaign ends

It's smart to keep things within scope so that you can deliver a quality product. Software doesn't just scale arbitrarily like this. Hopefully it's a sign that the devs know what they're doing.

Sure. I just got infected by hype. Also Devs semi-promised on Discord to have post-mortem and show there all the rest of stretch goals. According to Devs they were much more ambitious and much more expensive then reached three stretch goals

Wow, what a grand finale you guys! We're done and we got all the stretch goals too! It's crazy how much help the Codex has been on this ride. I always liked to hang around with you guys, but I never expected such overwhelming support, especially from the administration. You rock!
I'm gonna get back to reply to everyone once the dust settles and will update you on our progress towards Early Access as much as I can. The dinosaurs will be unleashed! And the Golden Baby will fly!

Here's the final KS post!

Done and done!

The campaign for Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy is at an end, with results that surprised and humbled us all.

The game we had planned initially will become even bigger and better thanks to your contributions, suggestions and overall support.

Behind you.

I said this earlier in the shoutbox this morning:

ATOM Team seems to give a shit. Most developers want their game on as many platforms as possible, but the vast majority of them just want a functional port. ATOM RPG on whatever platform you play it on feels like it was made specifically for that platform. If you didn't know any better, you wouldn't know what the original platform was because they do a really great job with their ports.

I have ATOM RPG on Steam, GoG, Switch, and Android. I primarily play things like ATOM RPG on the PC or Linux box. BUT. It's amazingly easy to go from the PC to Retroid Pocket 4 Pro.

Those statements sum up why I supported you guys. The Wall was following your kickstarter, and tagged me in a post on here. I saw it, and thought, "Yeah, those are some righteous dudes." so I posted it. Then backed it. Then we've been refreshing the page waiting to see what happens. Glad it all worked out!

Oh! and btw ATOM 2 was officially announced in passing by . This is excerpt from post on Trudograd Steam Page:

We are very thankful for your support during the campaign and hope you'll enjoy Swordhaven! Creating this game and the campaign around it is a huge learning experience that will surely help us when we create ATOM RPG 2. We are really blessed with the best players out there :)

Yours, Atom Team

You managed to raise €45,879 from backers on Kickstarter. Congratulations!

Are you aware that Grape Ocean received €108,837 for Black Geyser, more than twice the amount you just got. Then they came back and raised another €31,561 for the DLC. I would be interested to know why you didn't get a stronger support from backers than what you got. I'm very happy that this campaign was a success, of course, but gathering 100k would probably have been possible.

Thank you! I'm sure we will do the same for Swordhaven. Lots of things that will make the ports feel native are already in there, so porting will take way less time than it did for Atom and it will work better. We'll probably keep the save transfer function for it too. Everything will be covered!

Can't forget ATOM 2! Always on the menu, the question is when this dish shall be served.
Congratulations, Atomboy, I loved the ATOM series, so I'm really looking forward to this one.
Thank you!
Glad to see this funded. Liked both Atom rpg and Trudograd

We received a probable answer to this question yesterday. We posted about the Kickstarter on our Trudograd page on Steam, and most comments were "holy shit, you guys had a kickstarter all this time??? whaaaat???". We turned out to be ass at marketing to our own players, let alone strangers. So seriously, without the codex we probably wouldn't get a single stretch goal!

Also, despite no longer being that overly paranoid guy who thinks twice before drinking tap water and wonders whether he was anally probed by a UFO as a child, I did notice Kickstarter didn't include us in a single newsletter, didn't give us the "project we like" png thing, never featured the campaign, ignored or at least partially ignored us in that "LAST CHANCE TO BACK X" mass email they send out informing their users of projects that are almost finished, etc... Though chances are we just missed something or misunderstood something I guess.

Or, those guys work for the Greys.

Anyway, like with Atom's campaign, we are more than happy with the results we did achieve. It's more than enough to hire a really cool animator, and outsource assets and images for the extra stretch goal locations, items and quests. We got exactly what we needed, and that's the most important thing! I'm really happy right now, frfr no cap, thank you all!

Hey hey peeople look who's back that's me reporting in to tell you things and do some replies
Time since we finalized the Kickstarter was used well, we got many backer pics for portraits, and let me tell you no artist would've imagined such a cast for the main character photo, we have so many different faces! Artists are hard at work painting them as we speak. I've been putting the programming skills I got over the summer to help out with a bit more than just writing, and let me tell you it's pretty fun. I'd say it's more fun than writing, because what you write in code actually becomes tangible stuff in the game.

I'm working with this huge nested network of small scripts that will help me set up really cool, diverse random encounters like no other game from atom team has ever seen. Tons of possible formations, names, behaviors; weapons, skills, special attacks, levels, everything can be fine tuned with a click and a few keywords right now. No level scaling, but greater control over the world map, so you won't stumble on someone unkillable until you're really deep into the continent. (Though there is always a chance, albeit small, to meet someone who's way tougher) many loot-related surprises, nasty shit to mess with obsessive people like the secret 1 in 100.000.000 chance to get one of the best weapons in the game from the easiest\earliest random encounter in the game through loot. Works like a charm according to the tests I constantly do. Love it.

The others are hard at work as well. Only thing slowing us down is also cool: we're releasing new Trudograd ports soon, and that takes a few hours away from Swordhaven development, but that's not an issue at all, and once we're done someone will be able to play that thing on their fridge which is pretty swell. Stay tuned for that.

Also wrote 11 pages of JUST rumors during the weekend.

Now for some replies including the ones I missed in all the excitement before.

We will, but finding a great animator even WITH the Kickstarter moneys proved to be a huge chore. It's behind us now tho
Congratulations Atomboy. God speed and good luck.
Thank you!

Is there a list of Soviet pop culture references in Atom RPG? I'd love to learn about the origins of the Easter eggs and jokes.
The closest thing to that list was made in the review by a codex user called Batallie a few years ago. They pointed out the biggest ones, anyway. Some are so small and cryptic explaining them would actually make them less cohesive like that one meeting with an armed crazy person based on a Soviet-American New Yorker who made his money by pretending to be ex KGB and selling government secrets about the three-step Degenerate program with it's goal to battle the antichrist when the time comes.
When the stars are right? We going cosmic horror now boys?

Anyway nice stretch goal. (New location/dungeon/quest) I hope they can make it. Only 5 days left of the kickstarter though.
We always did!
We made it
Those portraits are retarded-take references to 60-70 Soviet era pop culture. Another aspect these devs couldn’t grasp about Fallout — it referenced uplifting 60s pop culture to contrast it with the grim reality.
Nuh uh those portraits were based on free stock images of american prison ladies taken into the slammer for prostitution, our backers, and our team members! Only NPC portraits (around 10% of them) were based on some recognizable USSR ppl! Y u so mean! You recognized Yakubovich on 1 portrait and decided that's as deep as the game goes? Play it for real! It's very cool!

Will the game support custom portraits on launch? No one I knew liked the ones that shipped with ATOM
It's already there. View attachment 49263
is that a Twin Peaks reference?
I got what you mean, but it actually wasn't! It's bizarre though. Nostra is our second time we're having a tough one-eyed lady in one of our games... And we never connected the dots, despite being huge fans of TP. That's pretty cool!
HOW ABOUT SOMEONE HELPS OUR FRIENDS FROM ATOM TEAM IN LAST HOURS OF THEIR KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN?

I know game won't feature bears pole dancing nor 666 genders to choose from, but maybe main page post or two would help in spreading good word about Makers of Good RPGs making their new game?

Infinitron Saint_Proverbius
Dang, it's like pages and pages of you selflessly helping us out. Are we that cool? Thank you dude! You really managed to influence this whole campaign for real, somehow! If they teach me modelling as well as coding, I'll think of you whenever I place a wall somewhere.

In DP2?

You will be disappointed. The first DP had soul, the second part was a forced, stupid and unnecessary game.

Cool that you're expanding your skill set, I'm student of programming as well. Once you break foggy wall of boring and keep pushing, pushing, pushing! You'll eventually acquire magic powers of programming and be able to create great stuff. Your biggest problem then becomes: "what to focus on". Most programmers are uninspired, basically focused on most efficiently screwing the screw that holds some abstract structure and that's it. They rarely think about what they can build with programming tools (if you undestand, you understand), so someone who's already creative by nature with power of programming becomes Game Dev God. Like Young Tim Cain or bunch of famous indie solo-Devs on Steam from last 10 years. Keep getting better at it!

You personally and your games will profit immensely. C0d1ng can also help you become better programmer of your life, if you have knowledges from other spheres/DataBases of human knowledge, you'll soon see how everything is intertwined. Programming is something AI may do better one day, but that's something noone can take away from you. It's power of thinking that makes magical shit happen
