Why would black people even go east of Berlin? It's not some racist conspiracy. There are no jobs in Eastern Europe and nobody speaks English.

Migrants go where the economy is. Always have always will. My own ancestors were destitute Romanians who walked west to civilization.
My guess is that some are guest students. Others maybe are brought there by female sex tourists (such trafficking victims often end up selling drugs in the street, alas). Edit: forgot about illegal immigrants. Maybe some get staying permit/asylum in East European countries? But that also means they can't get asylum in another country (without forging a new identity). You can move freely within the EU if you get employment in another EU country though.

But the reason they end up in Stalker 2 is just so that GSC can adhere to Californian woke ideology, nothing else.
If they'd be randomly spawning everywhere it'd ruin the vibe, but few token niggers with backstory would be fine.

USSR had its share of half-negroes. It imported thousands of negro students from africa, cuba etc every year, and soviet girls were falling head over heels for them due to lionization of third world by soviet "internationalist" propaganda. The "international festival of youth and students" in 1957 alone has resulted in hundreds of coalburner single moms. In fact, I had one such half-negro (looking like a full blown negro, but with a plain russian name of Alexey K-ov) in my class at school. It was a spanish language school, so they doubled down in importing cuban negroes and idolizing them as late as in 1980s.

Besides, being a potential source of great wealth, the Zone can attract ne'er-do-wells from all over the world hoping to strike it rich. It's not like you have to speak "cyka blyat" without accent to enter.

It's an effort to appeal to the Americans. They have a significant minority consisting of black people. No one else has any real reason to include black people in their works (although at this point you could maybe include French in this calculation, too). Notice that Poles, Czechs or Russians (so pretty much Central/Eastern Europe) don't really care about the woke agenda (you could argue CD Projekt Red is an exception, but these guys got big. Before that they didn't care too).

In a way, there is a similar case - Time Gate: Knight's Chase. Infogrames Multimedia was a French studio who wanted to do a Knight Templar game with time travel. But developers feared it won't be popular in the USA if this were purely a French game, so they introduced a young American law student to "cash in" on the American audience.

That's the problem, it's like a big neon sign blinking "SJW agenda". Gives the whole game an air of ridicule.
Stalkers are basically extreme treasure hunters, while the majority of them should be locals, the zone would obviously attract people from all over the world.
If realism mattered to GSC (it doesn't) surely there would need to be Russian-speaking Stalkers (like in the original games)? Also there would be:

Romanians / Moldovans
Belarusians
Crimean Tatars
Bulgarians
Hungarians
Poles
Jewish
Armenians
Greeks
Tatars
Roma
Azerbaijanis
Georgians
Germans
Gagauz
Karaites

From the rest of the world we should expect a variety of West Europeans, East Asians, Indians, Latinos and Arabs, in addition to the Africans and black Americans. Obviously if all these were represented there would not be much room for any Ukraineans, and the game would feel more like California than Ukraine.

It's an effort to appeal to the Americans.
Yes that's the real reason. The assumption being that American gamers won't feel at home unless every setting is Americanized.

They have a significant minority consisting of black people.
Not as many (15%?) as one might think from watching US media (50%).

US blacks tend to be very regional, and primarily in major cities. Chicago it's over 25% and for Huntsville (Alabama) it's over 30%, but 3% for Cheyenne. For STALKER demographics, I'd expect something 70% Ukraine/Belarusian, 15% neighboring Europe, 5% other Europe, and 10% for all others (Americas, Africa, Asia, Oceania). These would, of course, be skewed by faction: Military would be essentially all Ukrainian, Mercenaries would have very few locals (etc.).

That can certainly affect regional US media, so if say Detroit has a 79% black population it only makes sense that media produced in that city is largely black. Such regional variation does not affect the total number of black American gamer consumers though, but someone that mostly watches media from Detroit and similar cities might become biased by it.

Token nogs are not what are putting me off Stalker 2, its more that the community mods have set such a high bar in terms of atmosphere and immersion (Anomaly, Dead Air etc) that I can't see a big studio replicating that. Rather than take inspiration from these mods they seem to cling to the series shooter roots, but the best parts of Anomaly were the quiet moments, when you're waiting out an emission in a bunker, cooking some food and repairing some gear. Unless Stalker 2 recreates these quiet moments equally or better than what the mods are doing, then I can't see it surpassing them.

Dead Air had cans of food, but if you didn't have a can opener you were shit out of luck. That is the level of detail I want from Stalker, not just "bigger louder guns" and more cutscenes.

Gamedevs are soyboys who probably didn't even pay attention to the war (and I mean the war since 2014, not just Putin's SMO - the original 2014 Donbass war was the coolest). So much cool shit from both sides. Irregulars using WW2 (or even WW1) equipment, Maxims and Pepeshas versus futiristic schizo-tier guns like Abakans. I remember ukrainians had this killdozer with a boar head attached to the front, very cool. Religious fanatics both orthodox and muslims, flags with Jesus, various flavors of Chechens fighting on both sides (and regular non-muslims shouting "Allahu Akbar!" to pretend they are Chechens and scare the other guys, lmao - by the way, I remember a few years ago there was this artist who created a whole artbook based on Stalker but with a middle-eastern/Caucasus twist, cool armors and all). Full-on retards pretending to be tryhard satanic edgelords ("Misanthropic Division", hilariously both ukies and russians had these retards). Lots of funny shit, but of course the retarded Stolker 2 devs won't take inspiration from any of that. Remind me again, why in Stolker 2 there are no drones that you can use to scout the area, or maybe even drop a grenade on the enemy? Oh I know, because the devs are retarded and lazy.

Adventurers, adrenaline junkies.
Also many have military and police backgrounds. VERY useful in a place such as the Zone.

This is a lost art that is vanishing so thoroughly that people don't even know that it once existed. You see it everywhere, there is no 'wasted space or time' and no thought to have any. The terrible decline between Mafia and the 'Definitive Edition' released last year is an easy example of it:

So we see the same cutscene go from 1:51 to 46 seconds, with every bit of that great, quiet and foreboding atmosphere amputated away. And it's a safe bet that the people who 'definitively' remade it don't understand what they amputated.

Wait, wait, what is going on, is this actually being released?! Not delayed again? What is going on

Stalker 2 has finally gone gold after a 14-year saga where it was announced, canceled, reannounced, and delayed 5 times amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine

After perhaps the most harrowing game development saga of all time, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has finally gone gold ahead of its release on November 20.
Developer GSC Game World announced the news via social media today, with a brief trailer featuring a few clips from the FPS culminating in the message "G.O.N.E. G.O.L.D." The term "gone gold" dates back to the days when physical media was supreme, and essentially means that the game's code is final and ready for launch. No doubt there'll be a day one patch in the works for Stalker 2, but this announcement means the game is officially ready to be released.

It's been a long saga for Stalker 2. The game was first announced back in 2010 for launch in 2012, but developer GSC Game World was suddenly dissolved in 2011. The company was revived in 2014, and reannounced Stalker 2 in 2018, but it wasn't until 2021 that it actually revealed the game to the public as part of Xbox's E3 showcase with a planned April 28, 2022 release date. GSC Game World would end up delaying the game until December 2022.

GSC Game World is a Ukrainian studio, and its employees were among the many affected when Russia invaded the country. Amid updates to fans from the frontlines of the war, Stalker 2 development was put on hold. But the development eventually resumed, with Stalker 2 set to finally launch in late 2023. Then early 2024. And then on September 5. And now, finally, on November 20.

Given the circumstances around Stalker 2's numerous delays, there are few fans begrudging the time it's taken to bring this game to market given that the devs had to survive literal war to get here. Soon we'll finally get to see what all that work has been building up to.

I guess it's confirmed, Russia is about to nuke Czechia within 10 days.

It is out in 9 days, but no one has even played it yet and they have a review embargo in place as well. I think we all know what that means, in true Stalker fashion its a broken mess that will take modders years to fix.

There's a certain variety of toddler's cartoons where noise never stops, from the first second to the last it's non stop noise - to keep toddlers glued to the screen.

The same logic is now standard for more adult entertainment. The retardation of humanity is real

Reviewers are all idjits anyway, just wait a couple of days and the internet will tell you the truthfacts about any game.

Same reason as to why niggers don't climb the mountains
Why?
So they won't get thrown off them?
