I don't see how they are going tof ix all the bugs *and* finish the game in 3 months.

There's a fantastic game in here waiting to come out it's not there yet.

What do you mean 'and finish the game'? There's only bugfixing and polish to be done at this point. They have stopped making new content for a while now.

They also have up to 4 months if they're planning for a December release.

I really dunno about a 2014 release, tbh. We'll have to see how fast they can roll out changes. Both Larian and inXile betas were fairly long, and necessarily so too.

Yeah and this is a really small sample of the game we are testing now. My best, optimistic guess is Q1 2015.

Edit: Or they can release it with all them bugs and problems, they have a reputation to maintain +M

Yeah with the amount of combat balancing and bug fixing required I definitely think Q1 2015 + a Steam Early Access once the beta is more stable is much, much more realistic than their Winter 2014.

I wouldn't rule out 2014 yet. 4 months is a long time when you know more-or-less exactly what end result you're aiming for. Wasteland 2 and Divinity didn't really have that.

Additionally, lots of thhe issues are known by the QA stuff (At least thats the impression I got) and they were already in the process of fixing them.

There is a bug with the nice arbalest reloading animation. When attacking friendlies (other companions or people in town) the reloading animation does not play out. It only appears when attacking already hostile targets (with red circle). The same thing using the arquebus.
Also using a bow and switching to arquebus in the inventory, the characters uses the bow animation but with the arquebus in one hand.

It would be nice that the bow animation would feature the bow flexing when drawing it and more important the string bending.

Hey, guyz, the anti xp peeps get their wish and then some! No xp. period. Quests vanish into thin air. Ogre head vanish into thin air. Items vanish into thin air! Good stuff. Characters become immune ot damage for no reason that magically are. It's a bugapolla. Good times.

Has anybody tried Ranger yet? Does he have some melee feats? Also, how's the Animal Companion (different animals, mechanics)?

I NEED THIS GAME.

It's not a question of 'bro-ness': the higher the beta tier, the more you risk a significant backlash from backers who paid a lot for beta access.

Of course, the whole idea of people paying to bug-test a game is problematic to begin with. Though I see Volourn caved in despite his earlier protestations. :P

Yeah, the 3d models could use some 'sharpening' filter applied to them or something.
