I'm not thrilled about the DLCs either. Playable Tieflings sound nice... but I'm not likely to play one. Kineticist? Doesn't sound very exciting. The rest... adventure with different characters?
At least the Endless Dungeon MAYBE will allow you to reach the level cap with a party.

I'd much rather prefer a mid-game adventure, which would support reaching the level cap within the campaign. Some more spells would be nice also. Some basics are still missing. Where's my Keen Edge (!) or Greater Magic Weapon for example?

Hunt in House now changed from them standing around to them paratrooping right behind you from portals
Maybe it's my party composition or choice of spells, but I always had more troubles with the ghost things there (and stupid cat that basically has to be focused first otherwise all casters will be raped in 0.25 rounds) as compared to the hunt. The trader NPC even sells 100 FoM scrolls for chars that cannot avoid the stun reliably. On the other hand, killing ghosts requires dropping grease / sirocco / other mass stuns so that they can be dealt with separately.
Ghosts should be immune to any such spells :D

simple 4th level Shout does wonders

My favorite part about ghosts is by that point you get anti undead spells like Sunbeam and Sunburst, which are all Reflex and ghosts have +38 Reflex and Evasion

Sirroco is fire based.
The prone and exhaustion part is not. Real ghosts are incorporeal and you cannot stop them with any effects that don't specifically affect such creatures. And in addition they are undead and are immune to stuff that undead are. Also unlike normal undead they are also immune to critical hits and sneak attacks.

romance in this game has less romanse than Raven romance in Arcanum
And Raven romance had about 1 encounter which you can consider romantical i.e. walking shore of Caladon holding hands as you show elven girl electric lamp posts

Going to start up my play through at the end of the month after the 1st DLC drops. I have some questions though.

Has the availability of wizard scrolls improved? Are there any skills they just don't get any significant use? Wizard/AT is my strong preference, but I remember reading that scrolls are scarce, and most skill checks seems to just be diplomacy. Also, the apparent prevalence of (magical) beasts makes me think that serpentine bloodline is the way to go.

Is Arcane Strike worth it for a Magus/Sword Saint? I realize it won't work with in the same round as activating the like of Prescient Strike, Perfect Strike and other Arcane Pool active abilities, but does it work okay with Spell Combat? Can you automatize it?

I just had horrible bug with Tristian where I had to finger of death on him just to remove the bug.
For some reason he had permanent stinking cloud on him, and was in dark light, and refused to move to world map.
Haha, I just complained about that few pages back. I also had a random encounter where he would not leave and I could not rest with him as well. I had to load a previous save and rest on world map with that option ON that removes negative effects on rest.

It is free damage man, of course it is worth it. Just right click it on your bar so it is always active.

No, scrolls availability sucks. Best way to play the wizard is to find a list of easily attainable scrolls and then pick others when leveling up.

It should work, but in my experience it has a nasty tendency to turn it self off without warning. Not sure why, is it on resting, loading, using other swift actions, or what. If it's that last one, that's going to be a pain for a magus. Put it on the main bar where you can keep an eye on it all the time.

Grease, man.... Grease.
Fuck magic missiles. GREASE!!!!!!!!

It really is absurd how important that spell is, though.
You basically have two choices:
1) Fight an enemy normally that has high Will & Fortitude. Get rekt by some enemies dishing 30-50damage multiple times per round with +hit bonuses that are just absurd.
2) Grease - and you don't even take a hit.

Anyway, I really hope they will implement spell cancellation. I'm getting a bit tired of having to wait for minutes after a fight just to pick up a few idiots of my party that walked blindly into some web or grease field. And the higher your level, the longer it lingers...
Alternatively, the AI really shouldn't walk blindly into these fields and try to avoid them, at least your own people.

These monarchs, I thought Wild Hunt had only one (impotent) king. Okay, we have enough weird things for each of them :smug:

My Cleric's Reflex save is so bad, he actually ended up stuck in a Web and literally couldn't escape. Like, he needed a 20 to escape or a 20 to make his repeat save. Eventually he'd roll a 20 but then he'd get trapped again before he could move out of the web. I just had to leave him there and finish the rest of the level without him. 20 minutes later he turned up randomly.
