I recently had a battle with Mandragora swarms, fuck those things eat through your Con so fast. And they have so much HP, it is hard to kill them with AoE spells. Had to both Web and Sirocco them to live through it.

Summons to waste their time, Flamestrike and Fireball them while you kite them around.

Kiting only works if you got enough space. I battled them on Bald Hill which is a small map and has other enemies beside the swarm. Web/Sirocco did the trick this time. Also summoned one undead with that Greater Undead Summoning spell, he got webbed as well :D but I managed to direct swarms towards him :)

Why do you guys keep playing this? Game is still under development, has significant dlc planned, months of patching ahead. Do you intend to replay the finished version? Is it that good?

I completed it yesterday without any major bugs. Game is fucking fantastic, a classic in the making. It just needs some addition to kingdom management and some adjustments to some very annoying mobs at the end.

It has both autistic min-maxing and great storyfaggotry, with both being optional thanks to the granular difficulty settings.

Everybody will find something they like.

I cant wait for them to release that big patch that will fix a lot of KM stuff so I can get onto this jewel. And hopefully there will be some expansion so we can enjoy level 9 spells with our mages.

More content to blast the enemy with our level 9 spells other than fucking Wild Hunt would be great.
Wish we had Spell Trigger and Contigency. Hit my mage? Instant triple Horrid Wilting or Sirrocos on their arse.

I'd fully expect Owlcat to then spam enemies against you with the above.

Something like 10 enemies dimension door around you, all with Chain contingency 3x Horrid Wilting. Seems mild for them.

Amount of Saved From Bug Report saves before House: a few
Amount between going through House and Ch 7 portals: 9 in 20 minutes of play

Btw either I did not notice or they changed this, but some encounters with ghosts and Hunt in House now changed from them standing around to them paratrooping right behind you from portals

I wouldn't call any of the DLC significant. An additional race/class/companion, a side-campaign that you play with a different character, and an endless dungeon.

He's right that nobody other than the people dying of RPG thirst should be playing now. Just put it on the backburner and wait for them to actually finish it.

It's great.
I'm not sure about the DLC's though. Varnhold-DLC sounds interesting.
That procedurally generated endless dungeon though could be the most boring shit ever.
But I like to be proven wrong.
I think endless dungeon will provide great testing ground for all kind of wonky builds. SO it's incline, especially if you can access it trough main menu.

EDIT: fixed my mistake.
The problem with stat drain is that there is apparently no way to prevent it. Delay Poison works early on but not on those mandragora guys. I'm certain that isn't how it would work in PnP.

All 3 DLC together are at least Tales of the Sword Coast size and just as "important".

I actually googled their PnP stats. It is not a poison. It does not even have save. It is blood drain, like from a mosquito but obviously much more dangerous. If they hit you, they drain 1d6 strength automatically.

Oh yeah Endless Dungeon ~= that dungeon in ToB
There are surely some similarities. Big dungeon with a boss at the bottom. I don't know what they mean with endless in name. Maybe you can do Dungeon+ runs when you beat the boss and everyone in the dungeon gets +5 levels or something.

Fiery Body should work. Elementals get drained. Undead don't but low level undead collapse in 1 round to 10d6 hits, but high level undead are a bit better. Jaethal is fine too.

Technically any bloodless creature should be immune but developers did not go so far to make elementals immune or maybe alchemists with mummification (or make them slow from Polar Midnight cause darkness).

They ALSO have poison, Fortitude based, which Confuses I think. I tanked all 3-4 in da House with Paladin, Tristian had to cast Heal twice.

Maybe it's my party composition or choice of spells, but I always had more troubles with the ghost things there (and stupid cat that basically has to be focused first otherwise all casters will be raped in 0.25 rounds) as compared to the hunt. The trader NPC even sells 100 FoM scrolls for chars that cannot avoid the stun reliably. On the other hand, killing ghosts requires dropping grease / sirocco / other mass stuns so that they can be dealt with separately.

I just had horrible bug with Tristian where I had to finger of death on him just to remove the bug.
For some reason he had permanent stinking cloud on him, and was in dark light, and refused to move to world map.

Eh they promised to add 3 spells per school on every level... maybe they will add it with DLC's?
EDIT: Not add but they promised that every school will be represented with at least 3 spells per level.
When they don't add a way to actually obtain these spells. It can be represented as it wants.
