Haha, awwww, come on. Is Fallout combat your ideal? I seriously can't think of a single TB RPG with really good combat.

That's because:

1. You only played Fallout.
2. You're a moron.
3. Both of the above.
So name me a sweet TB CRPG, homeboy. Geneforge?
No, really, please go away
lol, i've been here since 2004. TB combat on the computer just feels pointless. Even AoD combat is boring -- the parts of it that aren't fully scripted/automated.

Oh well why didn't you tell me that means you must be right

All the information you want and need is here on this site, there are even a few members still not malformed enough that they will help you find the games you're looking for, but come in huffing and puffing like this and you can just go right out the way you came in no matter when you accidentally stumbled across us looking for Anomen slashfic

I just hope they will provide a paypal payment option once the goal has been reached. As I learned with Wasteland 2, my cards gold is no good on Kickstarter.
What happened?
I had to cancel my pledge on Wasteland 2. Kickstarter uses Amazon, but my bank has implemented some security measures that make my cards useless for Amazon. There was a way around that, but it was so inconvenient I really didn't fell like bothering with it when it was a lot simpler to just pay though paypal on the Wasteland 2 site.

This place is full of Roshambo wannabes now, huh xD

Thanks for your useless replies. I didn't even know who Anomen was, lol. However, I do think BG had better combat than any TB CRPG I've ever played.

Hummm good to know.
Damn... I may have similar problems since my bank blocks any foreign transaction that isn't previously allowed or exceeds US$50.
If amazon tries to charge my $160 at once, then it won't work :(

I loves mah TB, but on the other hand i've spent many a good hour with the Bg series.

Rtwp can be done well, and with all the tb fun coming our way (Dead State, W2 and SR) it's good to diversify a bit.

Will support this.

I for one was totally expecting Obsidian to make a combat focused tactical turn-based rpg. Yeah, totally. It's not like they've ever expressed interest in story and characterization or anything like that.
I was looking forward to a Byzantine-era grand strategy game from Obsidian. What a total letdown.

Oh also, if the devs at Obsidian are reading this (and I hope this doesn't get lost in this long stream of posting) please don't have romance options. It might be an Infinity Engine successor with predesigned companions and biodrones might be suddenly coming to the game claiming this as the Dragon Age they never got but still, no fucking romances. I'd rather the effort was dedicated towards better quest design or a wider variety of story branching than a mass orgy.

Turn-based, RTwP or Real-time have one thing in common: they stink when the overall combat system is unbalanced.

And the threshold of 500k $ was just crossed.

Incline, new times are truly coming, almost not enough fingers to count all the inclined games that are coming up for us, Wasteland 2, Shadowrun, Chaos Chronicles, Eternity, and more. I have some time to upgrade the rig as to properly enjoy the new era of RPG gaming. Very excited. Gonna donate, can't decide between autographed box or one tier cheaper. Haven't seen video yet. Also, DU, we need that inn. It's a limited number, and I'll be damned if the Watch or some other inferior group gets the slots filled.

Heh, I bet Brian Mitsoda is privately fuming right now. In fewer than five hours Obsidian's project has received far more backers and money than his insignificant zombie game did in a month. And allllll those gaming news sites who told 'im "Kickstarter news is so last March" were so quick to jump on the hype train. Feel the burn.

No surprise but still disappointing to see that Feargus Urquhart still wants to play things safe. I guess I can understand that, considering his company's future's on the line, but still

The flaws in fantasy settings usually have to do with their fundamental premises. If the premise is that it's a traditional fantasy setting TURNED ON ITS HEAD / WITH EDGE!! then you've just booked a one-way ticked to Dullsville.
What happened to your principles, Sawyer? Enjoy your trip to TORN part 2!/low-budget Dragon Age.

I've never played a real time with pause game that felt smooth and rewarding or that couldn't be easily exploited. Good luck with that. :smug:
