We reject the good man.

orVIH.jpg

I do something incredibly stupid and have Alicia attempt to attract zombies from neighboring locations. My goal was to get the zombies out of the police station so we could fight them. It seems like it worked, to some extent, but then we got surrounded.

yxXwb.jpg

So I have Dick and the rest patrol outside to reduce their numbers.

mNLqh.jpg

Once we have some room to breathe, I retreat to the house next to the diner, which has tons of snacks so our survivors can eat (most of them are hungry or starving by this point).

FHM2a.jpg

The zombie mob follows us, but we take care of them handily. The food here is almost finished, but people are still hungry, so I have them breach the store above the factory, which has a few meals and snacks.

cUf6R.jpg

And then shit shits on the pile of shit we're already in.

We're all uninjured, two of us are hungry, Moribund is rested while the rest are various degrees of fresh, flagging and tired. Our relationships are great. Our weaponry? Not so much. All that zombie killing has left us with not a lot of ammo. On one hand, fighting them will give us a rescue clue. On the other, people might get injured and/or die. What do we do, Codex?

We can't really afford to lose Yugo. If we had the choice of giving up Moribund, I'd be all for it. But never my good bro, Yugo.

I vote we fight them.

If we fight I guess we lose someone, at least we are getting hurt but otherwise we will lose one for sure. Really, we need a rescue clue and hopefully we know then where to go. Fuck those losers!

We will never give up our beloved Yugo-bro!

gOiOx.jpg

Everybody's alive! Wounded, yes, but alive! And will you look at that? The zombies are actually HELPING us for once, bless their rotten souls!

Also, look at Dick being all badass. I like to imagine him playing solitaire alone in the middle of flailing limbs and exploding heads, looking up periodically to shoot somebody in the face.

Z2Sgj.jpg

I spend the next few turns trying to fend off the zombies while treating everybody's injuries.

quuYJ.jpg

Being the only person with 3 stars for healing, Dick becomes the designated doctor for the day.

GJDZI.jpg

Since some people are still hungry and we've depleted this place of food, I breach the store next to the SW-most store.

dLg2t.jpg

The zombies keep attacking us. Irritating, but nothing we can't handle.

bNrm6.jpg

I try to barricade at least the important bits of this location so people can cook and eat in peace.

m7FHV.jpg

Finally, everybody's stomach is full (or at least, not growling).

DqL3Q.jpg

Here's our current position and supplies. We also have two cooking ingredients left. What should we do now? Regroup at the store next to the police station, and try to assault/breach it? Breach other places to see if we can't find more ammo? Note that we've found out that the rescue point will be at a factory, but there are three factories on this map and we don't know which one it is. Note also that we still don't have the radio frequency we need to contact the chopper.

What should we do next? Codex, it's your call.

What loot did we get from the peace officers?

Also, it's currently Friday, rescue chopper arrives Saturday at Factory. Breach factory if we're health enough?

Maybe rest a little while so Dick can recover, like until 10 am, then we should aim to start breaching factory, gather up as many of our food supplies as possible, and stuff to make traps, over and above taking the guns we absolutely need. (1-2 shotguns and all shells, enough handguns/ammo for everyone, baseball bats).

Also: FUCK! Which fucking factory there are 4 of them? :(

I don't know what to do. Fuck. I'd say, breach the diner maybe we'll get another clue there? Holy fuck. We need either the frequency or the factory location. Or both. We could hit all four factories one at a time, but that leaves us only a 34 hour window to possibly breach all four.

The loot we got is listed in the middle of the left page here:

gOiOx.jpg

We don't know which factory it is, and we still don't have the radio frequency so we can't contact the helicopter even if we're at the right place. We need to keep breaching to find those two things before the chopper arrives at 2pm, Saturday.

How difficult will breaching all four factories be? It seems likely we'd turn up at least one of those clues breaching them, and we'd also make it possible to, I guess, be at one of them without a big fight for the arrival of chopper?

Seems like we are fucked. The chance to be at the right factory at time is pretty small. We have to find at least 2 more rescue clues and there isn't much time left...

Clear the factory next to us, then the one north going clockwise. If we're lucky we will find a rescue clue and have the factories at least cleared to enter the right one again quickly.

Or are there buildings which have a higher chance of rescue clues? Like the police station?

As far as I know, the rescue clues are randomly distributed.

We CAN try clearing all the factories clockwise while hitting the empty houses on our way. That's probably the most efficient path right now. Also remember that we'll probably get at least one more random event, which means we can get a rescue clue that way.

EDIT: In any case, you both seem up for breaching the nearest factory, so that's what I'm going to do right now.

I assault the factory once, and then I breach it.

Oops. Looks like someone got hurt while breaching (it's hard to see with the red filter, but note the bloodsplatter in the background). What should we do with the girl?

Kill her.

Let her in/kill her = equal chance for rescue clue from my experience so far.

We should definitely have attacked super zombie when we were all buffed out, and of course the distration thing doesn't seem to ever work out.

There was just too much assaulting, too. One or two assaults to get rid of zombies outside, then breach. Otherwise you waste all your ammo and waste time without finding clues and wind up where we are, out of time, ammo, and luck. Plus you lose your buffs. We could probably have breached it without any assaults with all those weapons and buffs.

I guess now we just have to breach and pray we find a radio frequency or event that leads to it and clue as to what factory it is. We might still be able to do police station, or we could try factories, but there's no point searching them above anything else.

At this point I'd say breach the diner (no assaults just breach), and hope for best. Then check back here and see what survivors want to do after that. We basically need to breach all we can until we find what we need or die, and I think we know which it's going to be.

edit: kill her

4 factories to breach = probability of finding 1/4 clues. All we need is 1 (radio frequency), but 4 breaches plus the random events still to come could mean 2 clues easily in 24 hours. Just need to keep moving and breaching. As it is, we're dead if we don't at least find the radio frequency.

If we get the piper event I say fuck it: TRADE.

Let her in! This poor little child all alone in such a nasty world! She may be infected but we have to check this when she's in. Maybe she knows something, too.

Goddamnit, we should've just let the right one in.

37 zom- WTF?! NOOOOO!

Yugo! Not you too!

Er4C7.jpg

God DAMN it.

WqIZf.jpg

Our supplies. We also have 2 cooking ingredients. We also have 77 corpses of zombies and our fallen brethen. Just... goddamnit. Everybody's patched up, and I searched the place for at least one hour. Useless bitch didn't even have a useful rescue clue, so we still need both the frequency and the exact location. We should move on. But where?

My only point there was we can breach whatever, so long as it doesn't get us killed. I think we can breach the right factory and won't even know it's the right one so no need to worry about that too much. We'll prob find freq but we can't afford to just hole up and wait around like we'd ideally be doing by now if alicia didn't lure in the zombies with her josephine campbell impression.

Well, that's that, then

Damn this game is brutal, one mistake and you are done. It seems like you really really wanna avoid noise. Except gunfire of course, which is outside the hearing range of zombies.

Well, it was a good try. I just wish I finally got into the god damned police station successfully :rage:

Holy mother of sweet fucking jesus. How the fuck does the librarian survive? Fuck you Utarefson. FUCK YOU!

At least I died in the arms of my dearest bro Yugo. Forever together in death.

It's probably all over. You should clean up the corpses, Anabanana chances are out of 77 corpses, you'll get a clue. But looks like we're dead either way.

Watch as the next person to die is Alicia. :troll:

So, that's one vote for staying here and cleaning the corpses. What do other people think?

I just think 77 corpses means a good chance of a clue. We don't have much else to go on right now, and the survivors are probably too injured to risk a death or glory breach of any other location.

We might at least get lucky. We have a 1/4 chance of this being the right factory. That's 25%.

We have a small-medium chance of finding a rescue clue (or more than one) in the 77 corpses.

If this is the factory and we stay, 25% chance, and find the frequency, we win gg. If we find a clue saying it's another factory AND the frequency, we have a slim chance of winning.

If we find a clue for the right factory and we're not there, we might be able to breach it with Alicia/Utarefson, and might find the final clue there, we might win, gg.

It's all very optimistic, reality is, we have a 25% chance of being in the right place, right now, and a chance of recovering clues from corpses.

EDIT: If our only chance is 4:1 odds of survival (25% of finding the clues and being at the right factory) that's better than 0% chance, which is what we've got if we try to breach anywhere else with Alicia and Utarefson in their current state.

Well, fuck me sideways on a pony.

We've been cleaning up zombies for hours with no luck whatsoever (it's already 12am Saturday), and then THIS happens. Friends, Romans, countrymen, given that the deadline is soon approaching, I think we have to take this and hope that we won't die - which we all probably will. So. It's your choice, Codex.
