Make the Codex Great Again!
Here are a few more projects I noted. I listed them in the other thread, but I guess more people check this thread for the good stuff (and lulzworthy stuff). No obligations to add them to the list; there may be people who are interested in these projects.

Colossal Cave: board game based off Adventure for the Atari 2600. The video game's way before my time, meaning I've never played it before, but a lot of bros over at BGG are backing this one, so I'm watching it closely.
For the record, there are two completely different games called Adventure, and it's not based on the Atari 2600 one. It's based on Adventure the text adventure game for various computer platforms.

My bad! Edited my post.

An Indiegogo project that sadly has not been funded but is very interesting:
Signal Ops draws inspiration from classic games such as Commandos, Syndicate, and Deus Ex. We like to call it a multi-perspective shooter. While playing you are able to simultaneously see what your entire squad of agents see. You work for a secretive government agency and lead your field agents from the relative safety of the control room on various espionage missions. Stealing secrets, sabotage, assassination, and all that sort of thing!

We need basic money for characters, Audio, Mob chacaracters, and more. I try my best to use Unity3D to develop a game, but since Unity uses JavaScript not Java, the closest I can really get to programming it in an awesome way would be C# which is closer to Java than JavaScript is.
When you donate $1000 or more, you get everything that was included in the past donation rewards, and you get all of the income from one day of sales once the full game is released. You get to pick the day!
:hmmm:

What this guy needs isn't money. It's tutorship from Prosper.

I like this project. It's a small-scope indie "spaghetti western" (J)RPG for PC and Xbox inspired by Earthbound, Chrono Trigger and FFVI. And they're only asking for $5000. On the other hand, $15 might be just a tad too much for an indie game like this. Or maybe not because it has 1-4 player co-op so it might be fun to play with friends, which adds to the value.

I've yet to find a jRPG that I didn't hate. (Well, spirit engine got close). Shame, since the world does need more decent western games. Also, "Western jRPG" sounds delightfully oxymoronic.

Almost Human Games, the Grimrock guys, just pointed in twitter to this Finnish project:
"Rimelands: Hammer of Thor is a turn-based steampunk roleplaying game for PC and Mac with deep but simple game mechanics. Comes with a level editor."
It's in indiegogo, and it seems to be a single character thing, but someone could be interested in it.
The game is already released for iThingies, the funding campaign is for porting to PC/Mac.

Edit: I just saw indiegogo projects have a "This campaign will only receive funds if at least X sum is raised by Y date." text. Is that a new feature, or it was there before and I didn't notice?

This does indeed look interesting - do any of the resident iFags have any experience with this title that they would like to share with the class?

Iirc it's a new feature they added after Kickstarter became popular.

What payment system does indiegogo use? Paypal or?

PayPal and credit cards it seems, from here:

"Paypal vs. Credit Cards
Our fee structure is contingent on whether or not a campaign meets its goal. Contributions made through PayPal are sent to a campaign owner before the end of the campaign. Thus, our method of charging fees will differ for credit cards vs. PayPal contributions.
Contributions made by credit card are held until the end of your campaign. The platform and third party fees are taken out when we disburse funds to your bank account, the Friday after your campaign deadline.
Contributions made by PayPal are sent directly to the campaign owner at the same time that the contribution is made. With each contribution, Indiegogo will withhold 9% as our platform fee and PayPal will withhold about 3% as a third-party processing fee. At the end of your campaign, if you have met your goal, we will reimburse you for 5% of all funds raised on PayPal, so that your net platform fee is only 4%. The reimbursement will be sent directly to your bank account. For information on disbursements, please visit our article: Disbursements: When Do I Get My Money?"

Aaah, there are two types of campaigns: Fixed and Flexible. In one there are refunds when the objective is not met, not in the other.

I got this game on my fagphone. It's BSB popamole.

Really? A pity, I liked the boardgame look of it. They mention it's not just a straight port and that they have improved things, but there's no gameplay in the list of things improved, just graphics, interface, story, and the editor.

Edit: There's a PC demo.

"Kitaru is an interactive sci-fi epic that breaks the mold of RPG storytelling. Its innovative, postmodern storytelling approach thrusts the dystopian fantasy of George Orwell's "1984" into the realm of classic gaming's Chrono Trigger, Shadowrun and Metal Gear Solid."

Yet another western JRPG, at least it's not (only) fantasy crap.
That's pretty high expectation references, though.

Interesting. I'm getting American Army vibes from the video (Ground Branch). I loved that game. Weapons Cache = effin' a.

That's... interesting. And they aren't asking some huge insane amount to fund it.
