Sounds pretty interesting, but those graphics and art style aren't doing it any favors.
It looks like Synty or other similar low poly store assets. Usually used by low budget indies to prototype, but sometimes it makes it into the final product too.

Crowdfunding should be illegal or at least changed. The whole proposition is absurd.

"Hey, here's a bunch of cool stuff. If you give us money, we might send you the stuff. Please remember that 'Rewards aren't guaranteed'. Delivery date? Oh, we will advertise a delivery date, but the actual delivery date is 'whenever or never'. We can string you along for years and then still not deliver. If that happens, you'll probably want your money back, but you won't get it back. Accountability? We have no obligation to show a detailed accounting of how your money was spent. Thanks for your support."

Don't like it; don't do it.
I haven't funded anything in few years.
Not because there have been grand disappointments, but I can give similar "support" as I do by buying occasional early access without additional headaches.

How is what I wrote "retadred" exactly?

First, no one's forcing you to participate. The "I don't like it so it must be regulated/banned" mentality makes it fucking retarded.

Second, the whole point of funding, as the name implies, is to raise money to get something produced that otherwise would most likely never see the light of day. It's an awesome system that made a lot of cool shit happen. Over the years I've backed the Bitmap Books releases, more games than I can count, the ZX Spectrum Next, etc etc. Yes, there are projects that never come to fruition. Tough luck, dipshit.

I see. I'll change my statement from "Crowdfunding should be illegal or at least changed. The whole proposition is absurd." to just "Crowdfunding in its current 'rewards aren't guaranteed' format is an absurd proposition.".

And another thing! I'm sick of seeing all these warning labels on products! Why aren't these products simply BANNED! It's so dumb having the freedom to make an informed choice about what to do with my own money!

Why exactly are you so upset about crowdfunding. I have had maybe one bad KS and they still gave away some old content. We were all upset the new content was nixed and the channel became silent. Another one turned out they fucked up on physical shipping. Possibly, this May they might resolve this. I'm annoyed but shit happens esp when it is your first KS you set up. Being a NEWB in anything is a learning experience. ALL YHE OTHERS? Successes and often I have access to content NOT released to the public. Only those putting this stuff on pirate islands leak it out (shrug).

CROWDFUNDING IS FUCKING AWESOME!

I lament there are some games here on the codex I did not help fund mostly due to my current issues in life. That's on me not the ones putting out some kick-ass content.

Whoa! Stop-motion animation! That is pretty cool. I've been a fan of stop motion since I saw Gumby, various uses in movies and other cartoons, shows and games. This isn't easy to do at all so I applaud the effort of this.

I can't say I'd jump on the band wagon though. I might buy the game on steam, itch.io, or GOG if eventually available.

And my wifi is being a bitch so the KS page barely worked. Here's a video of Mashina and their previous work.

Oh! There is an even older game and it is on itch.io called Dujanah

And for fun...
