For all card game lovers, Serpent's Tongue, where to cast spells you have to correctly pronounce them, featuring a complete language:

That was pretty fucking cool. They put quite a bit of thought into that. Totally backing that.

That setting and combat would be a fucking cool cRPG as well.

Agreed. I just had a tiny nerd-on. I'm kinda leery of CCGs though. I think I'll do the only reasonable thing: Link this to some of my mates with lower will saves than I do and mooch off of their copies.

For your raging pleasure:
HERE’S TO THE OLD-SCHOOL RPG

When we think about role-playing games, we remember the 8- and 16-bit classics from our childhood like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and Earthbound. Those games were timeless. They combined immersive worlds, exciting battles, and incredible stories in perfect harmony to give us some of our most unforgettable experiences in video game history. We explored, we battled, we laughed, we cried (yeah, we admit it)…

The art is laughable too, for a project team that's asking for two hundred thousand dollars (how do you edit picture sizes btw?):

This project seems decent. I like the video where the guy calmly explains what the game is about and shows a few of the gameplay mechacnics and such. No "top men" or "oh my god we are SO amazed you are backing us" hype. Just a guy at his comp showing off his game.

It's a top down shooter with some RPG elements.

I also like the fact that he's not asking for 300K for his game...

sgc_meltdown, as much as I love you, that project was added ages ago to the brown section, now a bit lighter for better readability.

Definitively incline, for amateurs they have done a damn good job, plus he cites Obsidian and New Vegas, a pity for the meager pledges.

This may actually get funded. Word gets around the neighbourhood, among friends and in school, then *poof*. Money magically goes into their bank account, and they get $500 to buy nerf guns, foam swords and sand bags.

Don't underestimate the stupidity of sheeple.

Here are a few more projects I noted. I listed them in the other thread, but I guess more people check this thread for the good stuff (and lulzworthy stuff). No obligations to add them to the list; there may be people who are interested in these projects.

Colossal Cave: board game based off Colossal Cave Adventure. The video game's way before my time, meaning I've never played it before, but a lot of bros over at BGG are backing this one, so I'm watching it closely.

Puzzle Strike 3e + Shadows expansion: deck-building game (using chips instead of cards) created by David Sirlin, one of the developers of Super Puzzle Fighter 2 HD Turbo for the Xbawks360 and PS3 (I played SPF2 on the Saturn and I loved it). David's also the lead designer of Super Street Fighter II HD Turbo Remix. Anyway, Puzzle Strike's supposed to have gameplay similar to Super Puzzle Fighter 2. 3e supposedly fixes the biggest player complaints from 2e e.g., you can now attack anyone on the table by transferring your smashed chips to his window. I haven't seen a game like that before, even though a few have likened this to Dominion (but only to be rebutted by everyone else), so I'm backing this one for sure. I managed to steal, beg and finally borrow some money to pay for this.

For the record, there are two completely different games called Adventure, and it's not based on the Atari 2600 one. It's based on Adventure the text adventure game for various computer platforms.

Drama from the Brownlands, AKA Echoes of Eternia, you know, the true jRPG:
Hello Backers,

Earlier today, a user messaged me accusing my team and I of stealing all of the content used in this game. Obviously this is not true and incredibly hurtful. Now, that same user has created a reddit that is flamming the project and calling us thieves and liars.

It's not stolen, but it uses RPGMaker and a free tileset. Loooool.

Then again, there are several commercial RPGMaker games. He could have at least said that he was using RPGMaker and freely available assets, though.

Short Summary
I am a young entrpreneur who loves adventure and acting. I like facing challeges. I am also a big fan of the game crysis and have a interest in nanotechnology. I have decided to put a team together and build 2-3 real life nano suits and will be modeled after the suit in the crysis game.

What We Need & What You Get
I have decided to build a suit that is as similar to the game as possible and that will also have the proper flexibility as well. I will also look into adding possible bullet proof armor to the suit as well and will be discusing this with the suit designers. The suit will be designed out of light material that will allow easy movement and make a awesome showcase. Instead of just playing the game you will become the game.

$100 Crysis gamer

You will receive a crysis t-shirt, 1 copy of crysis 2 for pc or ps3 and a thank you letter.
:avatard:

We need basic money for characters, Audio, Mob chacaracters, and more. I try my best to use Unity3D to develop a game, but since Unity uses JavaScript not Java, the closest I can really get to programming it in an awesome way would be C# which is closer to Java than JavaScript is.
When you donate $1000 or more, you get everything that was included in the past donation rewards, and you get all of the income from one day of sales once the full game is released. You get to pick the day!
:hmmm:
