The main quest-related NPCs are probably the ones that stay alive no matter what. But if you're unsure, leave them as essentials. It shouldn't bother you that much unless you have an habit of killing random people to see what happens.

Also,

(except for the changing armor in combat, because I'm pervy and like to have my necromancer run around naked sometimes)

Ok so i'm planning to replay Skyrim and Requiem mod intrigues me, now the question is are there any must-have mods to go with that? And i do mean must have as in the game is not worth playing without them.
One more thing: Better Fast Travel - Carriages and Ships. It adds carriages to every town, which makes getting around a lot easier if you have map travel turned off.

You'll want that off anyways. The game tends to not like to consider combat over even when a cell is completely clear of enemies and it breaks some of the abilities introduced in the DLC.

Morrowloot (don't ever play without it) and Apocalypse Magic work well with Requiem and are great on their (be sure to disable the crafting limits in Morrowloot, it's redundant with Requiem's needing to find books to learn crafting perks). Both add methods of moving around faster out of combat too.

I'll leave them essential, then, thanks. And if I have to stare at someone's butt running before me for hours, it better be naked. :D

Thanks, good to know. Although the enemies problem is very noticeable with summons and NPCs, since they sometimes tend to run off after hostiles which are very far away. Lost quite a few good zombies that way.

Seems pointless. Why not just avoid that quest? :/

Also, from the comments the second mod is broken and / or outdated. If you want killable essentials, it's better to use the Mod Configuration Menu (you can even change it mid-play), or maybe set that option in Wrye Bash if it's available.

I've noticed that the "teleport vitals" spell in requiem - the one that teleports an npc's heart into your inventory - can kill essential NPCs, even if they're part of the main quest.

Well yeah, no getting up and shaking it off when your heart's gone. Flag or no flag.

How is archery damage calculated? I see different numbers on bow and arrow.

Is there a mod that removes "if you look at the sun then enter indoors it will take some time getting used to"?

No idea what the second question means. Sounds like something Prosper would write.
 Skyrim emulates that situation when you spend several hours in broad daylight then enter a house you will need some time getting used to indoor light again. Problem is that in Skyrim you are in a dark cave, you look at light coming from a torch/crack in the wall for one second then turn around quickly and suddenly you get darkness over your vision. I would like to remove that because it is annoying.

Where the hell do you find glass/ebony/daedric smithing books and is there another copy of the dragonbone book beyond the one in the blades temple (which can only be opened deep into the main quest)?

The other books are in logical enough places, but I have no idea where I'd find those.

Daedric is in Mehrunes Dagon's shrine.

Glass and Ebony I don't remember. Check the library's orc in the college of winterhold, he sells some smith books.

I know what you mean.

Search for No Bloom (Fix Eye Adjusting) in the Workshop.
Two other non-cheating, quality of-life improving mods are Reduced Distance NPC Greeting (less "I used to be an adventurer like you...") and Racial Bonus in description, although the second is only useful when creating a new character.

The "Bound X" line of spells allows you to summon demons from another dimension in the form of weapons and armor. I'm afraid the animu ship has sailed a long time ago.

Anyway, alchemist shops shouls sell daedra hearts sometimes, I think

i always steal the one thats in the companions, and thats a rare ingredient, so depending on the mods youll probably never see it on the alchemist shop.
