Oh FFS! 340mb into the 363mb Requiem download and the download crashes. I already downloads piss slow and took me about two hours just to get that far. Fuck this.

Nexus's been fucked for months.

For years actually, right now it's a place infested with infantile weaboos and nazi mods who will gladly ban you for some trivial nonsense. I guess the servers broke under the weight of sheer retardness of the Nexus community.

The whole negativity fobia there as a result of "modders work hard for us, FOR US!!!11" philosophy is just beyond hilarious: saying anything other than "OMG I LOVE IT KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!" can get you in troubles. Example: a modder uploads a mod in alpha state and asks for "constructive feedback"; there's some strangely active guy in the comments section who tries to stifle and ridicule every critical comment; you try to reason with the guy arguments vs arguments but your comments are getting deleted to give the impression you have nothing more say; you re-paste your last comment - get reported and banned in light-speed. So now 95% of comments are from apologists who have no idea about something like taste, style, or quality and whose constructivity is all about "Aweshum now bouncing boobies support please!!!11".
Nexus may be a good site for downloading mods but even LoversLab is a better community than this manchildhive.

I simply don't bother to comment on the mods there. If I can't say a mod is shit when it's shit, then I'd rather say nothing at all. There's currently a thread in their PC gaming section asking for nude male Shepard mods, but I can't ridicule it because "PEPOLE HAVE A RIGHT TO TO INSTALL MODS WHATEVER THEY WANT."

It's a good place for drama, though. Used to love watching the drama that just erupted all around AlienSlof. And then there are things like Cabbage in a Pot, where modders were bitching because it was getting more endorsements than mods where people spend 700 hours getting that horse vagina looking just right.

I only comment if I:
1. Need to kn something
2. Have problem.
3. Have ideas how to improve mod I care about.

I don't engage in full out forum interaction and not going to - it'd probably be TESF all over again.

Eh, first person does nothing for me. Playing like I'm a pair of hands floating above the ground is not my idea of immersion.

I've finally come up a solution for Bethesda's problem with writing believable human interaction for their NPC's. They should make a sandbox RPG in a setting comprised solely of robots. The Elder Scrolls: Skynet.

Even Better Quest Objectives makes my Skyrim crash. I checked that I have all the dependencies installed, but it doesn't seem to have any. I used the NMM to install it. I'm kinda stumped on what's causing it.

Maybe its not all there with all the download problems the nexus is having.

One of your mods may require a compatibility patch, such as Alternate Starts.
Someone was finally able to fix Skyrim's by modding a better game

That's cheating, fixing Skyrim is supposed to be a penitence.

But really interesting, thanks for sharing.

Nah, I downloaded it manually and then used NMM to install it because I was too lazy to read which of the .esps I had to use. It opens fine in Winrar, which usually complains when the archive is incomplete.

Due to Friar DraQ's insistence, I'm converting to the Cult of Requiem.

God help me.

It appears Skyrim Nexus is fucked. I've been trying to download Requiem since Friday and either the site doesn't load or the download just randomly tanks/corrupts. Anyone know of an alternative place to download Requiem?

Try another server. The US ones often crap out halfway during the download here, I only use them for tiny 100kb mods. The ones in London or Netherlands seem to be stable for me.

I wrote a big comment on a racial rebalance mod, which included some hair-rising stuff like "Argonians can automatically petrify enemies directly in front of them". The author replied with a big comment of his own, that could be summed up as "nah, you don't know what you're talking about". I don't bother anymore.

AlienSlof is now a raging moderator.

I don't know if it's impressive or disturbing.

So I tried a little Requiem, liking the fair difficulty so far. It's actually not as hard if you pay attention to the instructions. I forgot heavy armor fucks your spellcasting unless you're very skilled in it, and was surprised when the basic flame spell costed 3000 mana per second. Some choice pics.

No Dawnguard patrol what are you doing get out of my cinematic intro

I could have saved them if I wasn't layered in imperial armor, therefore being able to maintain my flamethrower going for longer :(

Clever girl.

:hmmm:

A dude from Interesting NPCs, found him at the Riverwood inn. There was another one there too, sometimes interacting with this guy. They have quite a bit of unique dialogue. Once you go Redguard, you never go...bard?
