Character clear is a way the game encourage you to explore and make use all the new commander. each unique character got some unique scene in the process of CC. After they are cleared, they can have a prebattle scene with Rance if they are deployed with him and have a +1 affection toward him. Plus some various unit

Yuzuhara got "reloaded" by Rance.
Senhime got more excited with the coming battle than having sex with him, so he pout.
Maria fondle her gun prebattle.
Ranmaru (cleared) and Shibata and Rance: Rance wonder about Ranmaru's tactic of adopting a girl to lure Shibata into marriage. both of them got bonus status.
Shibata(cleared) with Rance: his antique with Princess Kou and Rance once again wonder about this pedobear.
Shibata is also one unique character is that in the process of clearing him you could might well get a game over if you choose the wrong decision. Snicker. Remember that Rance is a horny goat, yes, but not a pedobear.
Some generic female commander also got fairly special scenes, like the childgirl tactician with name.
On the other hand, male commander clear process is not very notable. But maybe it's just me then.

From the point of view of going for a good score (which I assume is what WW is attempting, since he apparently didn't start with much and he is rushing a bit), the best way is to clear most of your units near the end.

Specifically, use the rance satisfaction bonuses to get +3 affection to all units, then while clearing them get the +end game points ability (which you can't get if you have already gotten another ability in its place). This gets you +4 points per character.

Whee, doing Isoroku route now, as my 2nd going and man if Takeda wasn't easy! Mouri, on the other hand, is presenting problems. Good to see you take care of Tenshi quickly - the revolts can be damn annoying if you run out of units.

To the pure spectators, Rance has so many fucking awesome scenes that its unbelievable! I can't remember any other game where I've chuckled out loud this much. Though sometimes the battles make you want to bang your head against the table.

Especially annoying how AI can "re-activate" its plot-important captains as much as they want :/

No need for going that late. There's way to fast clear chara.

The old monk father of the most beautiful princess of JAPAN can give you a random +1 to 1-3 commanders. After he's cleared, which is easy and painless to do (and add +1NP to each land of yours), just talk to him, and +1 for him (obviously) and the other bonus.

Sat bonus, of course.

Use the cleared commanders along with Rance in battle. +1 for one only, one battle. Repeatable and controlable.

Fact is, sometimes you just kick your cleared commander out so you could have and clear a new one. That fact is contemplated by game designer if you look at the 30-head roster and the massive number of interesting character you want to have.

The 1st play is hardest because you only have 2 fans until your Sat allow you another. The 2nd is also pretty hard if the 1st doenst give you enough point to buy 3rd fan at game start. B ut if you can buy that fan, anything else is child play.

Not really. You can get the 3rd fan quite soon with satisfaction-bonus again and since you now know the events the game doesn't quite throw you such curve-balls anymore. Early on the difficulty is in having enough commanders, mid-game is if your commanders have enough troops and late-game it's just the teeth-gnashing grinding against the big factions (+perhaps Demon Army, depending on route).

3rd action fan isn't too important since you get it early anyway. Most IMBA 2nd game bonus is by far the operational permits.

I'm didn't gather my glorious army so that later 20% of troops would run away. Curses the Tenshi, I will make them pay.

Remember when I said that time is not on our side? This is the reason. Each territory from this turn on will get a "unrest meter". You can pretty much guess what will happen when it hits 100%. Of course we may suppress it but that is just a waste of Fans, so we won't. Instead we will crush the Tenshi and bring an end to this, right fucking now.

If I remember correctly the Tenshi sect still owns us for the troops that we lost. Guess who will pay in her body.

On another note, the Tenshi got 3 childmonk with -kei in their names. 2 out of 3 got good utility stats (8). I normally tried to captured them all and hire whichever was best. Build and Search is a blast after that.

Yea, I may consider Evangelion the best anime (most notably due to End), but I utterly hate the fandom. Only the omni-weeaboos are worse.

Actually, the riots aren't that bad, if you already have a largish army, since if you don't suppress them, it's only a single 1000 men peasant unit. And you cannot have more than one riot in a turn. Though if you can't overcome them, not that I know of personal experience, ha-rum, wouldn't happen to me, you'll lose 1 NP on that province.

Ohh, I have question about riots. Do you regain back your NP after conquering Tenshi sect or is it lost forever?

And generally, which book on which type of unit do you use?
Except Rance(or is it Lance? cuz wapanease can't "R") ofc.
My hoarding instinct from RPGs (i like to stockpile potions, scrolls) leaves me with massive amount of books.
