I love Centaur. Dumbest, simplest hero design possible that perfectly illustrates how awesome having a ton of hp is. Makes me rage whenever I see people picking up phase boots on a support with less than 1000 hp. Like a 150 range blink every 8 seconds is going to let you do more than 33% more health.

This fucking game man.

First I get an utterly horrible fucking team, and 2 of them leave (after whatever mark is needed to make sure it counts as a loss of course.)

Next game, I get a mostly ok team- except the moron laning with me, who thinks the goal of the game is to get as many creeps to the enemy tower as possible or something. But whatever, I manage to eventually get my mask and go off to the jungle. I try Rosh but it's too late because I had such shit farm in the lane so that fails. But whatever. I go solo kill an enemy that was holding his own against the 2v1 lane in our favour. Team is bitching about how awful I am right after that of course. 1-0 huskar that just did the only gank in the game so far from the other side of the map. BAD.

Game continues. I pull off more skillful bullshit and rack up more kills. Team now says that Huskar is OP dumbass rightclick hero. I die for the first time in the first teamfight I get invovled in (big fucking surprise.) I lure the entire enemy team top, drop a ward on the way and tp away before they reach me, then start pushing bot. I trade our 2nd top tower for 3 of their bottom towers, after the enemy juggernaut came back to stop me. I die taking the 3rd tower to the tower itelf because the game locks up and my controls stop working. So I restart Dota 2 to fix it, since thats what worked last time.

Game needs an update to restart. Steam not responsive. Restart Steam. 220 MB 10 minute download.

Why the fuck does this shit happen to me?

Looked at the store a little and read up on it a bit. Seems ok. All the gear is cosmetic, and seems to be much cheaper (Per piece at least) than most new TF2 hats. Not only that, it sounds like you get random drops by playing the game, and you get guaranteed random drops each time you gain an account level which does absolutely jack shit apart from feed you items. The only non-cosmetic item in the store (Apart from keys) that I noticed was an account buff that increased the rate you can the "XP" for that, which also slightly boost everyone in the same games as you.

So yeah, seems pretty inoffensive to me. I liked hats in TF2 though, just hope people don't go batshit crazy like they did in TF2. Also (Kinda) hope they don't add new weapons like they did in TF2 since some of those were kinda busted. Since it's DotA I'm not so sure they should add any actual content honestly, when you play DotA you're playing to play on that map. New heroes are a possibility I guess, but eh. Heroes will be free if they get added.

I got a level up drop, but it doesn't seem to be in my folder or anything.

Anyways, when Ogre and Skeleton King shit comes out if any of you get it I'll probably trade whatever I might have for it.

El oh el. Fucking Dota crates. Also, they're probably cheaper because unlike TF2 you can basically equip a whole set of gear: hat, armor, weapon, gloves, boots, etc.

I got a tabard for Omni. I have realized the issue with random drops. Dota has 120 something heroes, most of whom I rarely play.

That's why there's a trade feature. Now you get to wade into the sordid world of 'hat trading!'

I got a chest and an axe for Axe. The axe is bigger than the usual axe, but I hate Axe and don't like axes so I'll probably toss it.

Anyways, Reg I'll trade you the Omni tabard for the axe, if you don't want it. I play Axe sometimes.

Didn't have chance to play after this patch - how do the drops work? After the game you get a crate and have to buy a key to unlock it? Is it possible to get a key from the drop?

Got a wild hair up my ass to try idling while I was leaving the PC. Did a full bots game and let it run. Came back and bots had won, but no items or battle points. MAN, ACTUALLY HAVING TO PLAY THE GAME TO GET ITEMS? WHAT MANNER OF BULLSHIT IS THIS.

As you can see, she has a pony-tail helmet, same as the figure on that wallpaper. And since it was said that Mortred was almost finished in the last cyborgmatt's patch analysis, I guess Mortred it is, who else?

Oh, sweet, I didn't know about Mortred being ported so soon, that's cool.
Another really smart thing Valve made was deciding to make the game completely free, as in all of the heroes are unlocked automatically. That's a fucking HUGE advantage againts HoN and LoL, in my opinion, and I can pretty safely assume that there's gonna be a bit of raging on the above previously mentioned games' forums.

Mortred always seemed like a pretty awful hero to me. Her ult isn't even that much better than Jugg's crit, and her other abilities aren't anything special. Her evasion gets hard countered by a MKB unlike Void's, and she has no way of disabling her enemy besides a slow. Any hero with a force staff or blink skill makes her look like a chump. Or a TP scroll for that matter.

If they're going to add ineffective heroes, I'd prefer cool ones that pubs won't even try to play, like Lanaya.

Probably doesn't work on all-bot games. I played one just to see and no drops. You most likely have to enter the matchmaker to private/self-created games don't count.
