I'm up for some games tonight, maybe. ~3 hours sounds reasonable. 20:00 CET?

It's so incredibly frustrating to solo queue and end up vs. a 5 man pre-made who obviously use vent or some such. I've heard rumours they're fixing it, though.

Also if you guys are in need of a fifth player feel free to add me http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198047009914/. I'm not pro by any measure (no competitive experience, no organized teams worth mentioning) but have been at the top 10% in most open inhouses of Dota 1 and 2 and 50% win at ~750 games or so.

Man, this game can be frustrating. Last week I had a fair amount of good games and it seems like matchmaking is punishing me now. Of the past, say, 8 games, I've lost 7 due to having unbelievably bad teammates + try-hard opponents. The one game I won my team very nearly lost (they were doing "final" pushes on our base) but somehow we scraped by with a comeback. I haven't been on a team consisting of good players in days.

It's a shame we can't see someone's stats in the game to know what you're up against before the match. In Hon I always check stats before the game to see who's gonna be a problem (those with 3.0 kd and such).

Any of you want to play a game in about 15 minutes?

Since I played WC3 DotA like hell, basically every hero has been my favorite at some point in time.
But Shadow Demon? http://blog.dota2.com/2012/03/come-into-my-dominion/
DEFINITELY one of my favorite heroes! One of the funniest scrub-killers in DotA. Nothing like having an couple of opponents jump you at low HP just to pull ulti on their ass and swap out your HP with one of theirs and kill both :D
He's fun with Dagon :D

EDIT: fuck, it wasn't that hero... I was thinking of Soul Keeper / Terrorblade :( :( :(
I haven't even played shadow demon. what the fuck is this newfagery.

Anyone up for games tonight, been awfully quiet for a week. Might take a shot at Shadow Demon and go fully derp, never played that hero either.

It sure is hard to find a balanced match in this game. 5 games so far and they were all stomps, for one side or the other.

Last dota version I played was 6.24b so I dunno that hero either, but it looks fun.

We had to lose some games, didn't we? We've won last 10+ games before these ones.

@Wulf Can't... stop... laughing... My thoughts exactly, had pretty fun though as derp Gondar, I should just stick to supports and tanks. I don't know what I did wrong though, in the second game I just didn't have enough farm at all, all lanes were costant rape/gankfest. meh, the all-knowing carry, any thoughts? And yeah we had to lose some games, we've had some incredibly good games for many many nights now.

Wow, decided to play a pub game. Had a propably greek Witch Doctor who announced he would carry. Okay. He then gave two kills in a row using teleport... And the whole game long after that he fed and fed and flamed with the little english he could speak. It was so bad it wasn't even funny, that's my second report made, I guess I'll stick to playing with bros with the occasional masochistic pub game...

You didn't throw enough knives early game. It's OP and should be abused.
Early battlefury doesn't hurt either. Like, first item after boots.

When you are laining with gondar in a solo lane against a stronger one, the key is just to get levels up. You stay in a lane, max invis, one jinada and then the rest at shuriken. As a result, you avoid harass by being invis (or jsut getting any farm you can) and harrassing low hp hero / lower skilled player in a lane when the ww cooldown is down (hit once and recast invis). So you get boots, magic stick and void stone up with 9level.

Then you start to roam a bit, participating in ganks - teammate closes in, you hit once with jinada, track, shuriken - bonus gold for everyone. Generally, you'd want to target support heroes (CM/Venge/ES/SK etc) to take them out of the fight. In addition, track bonus gold provides huuuuuuuge boost to the income. When you have that battlefury up, combined with teamfights/ganks and level 2 track, you'll have desolator in no time.

I have to mention though, I don't have enough experience against multiple necromicons, but I've played several games when an enemy team had gem (bought several times), every hero got dust etc - you have to constantly recheck enemy items to see what items they got. Target heroes that venture little bit away from the party. Join teamfights after several seconds (with huge chance the dust already has been used, but you weren't there), coming from the back targeting that dazzle etc.

To be honest, it's the same as with any other squishy carry hero - positioning, positioning and positioning. Never go in first, always be on a different side of the screen/battle than that slardar. Watch for blinkers, go in after your team initiates, wait for that rexxar roar on your teammate etc

Well, after all those shitty games last week I was complaining about, I just played a game where a Bloodseeker on my team went 25-2. Gotta play with friends, I guess, if you want consistency.
