Just stopped playing a 2 hour session with a friendly man down in South-Africa. It's getting hard to remember during these presentations whether this or that was something I had already said or not, or if that was the presentation before or the one from yesterday :(

I'm also thinking about whether or not we should change that entire first part (beach and harbour) because by now everyone's seen it already.

Do some kind of twist. "All you have seen is there... but it's a lie! Somebody wants you to think this way!"

Hope they can still hit the 800k mark (kicktraq doesn't think so), would be a pity to miss out on those companions.
Kicktraq projections are ass and they change too fast to put any weight to them. A couple of hours ago kicktraq said that D:OS was "trending toward" $742 000. Now it's $759 000.

No, wait, it already changed to $763 000.

You should have a sheet of paper with subject bulletpoints and mark them off one by one, as You mention them.

I'm also thinking about whether or not we should change that entire first part (beach and harbour) because by now everyone's seen it already.
There will be a tutorial area before that part, right? I would leave the beach part in. People who saw it multiple times will feel right at home.
Or You can add a surprise or two to that area, so that YT stalker players are not 100% familiar with it. ;)

I think the only real spoil was the teleport pyramids location (I'll probably run to get it) & the whole woman in bath scene... we don't get any full quest besides that, even the shell is not solved.

Definitely not! Maybe modify a few bits, but after all people are already attracted to what they saw - the ones that saw it to begin with (I decided to opt out from extensive watching to save myself some surprise), and the rest won't tell the difference. And if you end up changing a lot, it'll just take time from the things you could be doing instead... So, if you're done with everything else and have some resources to spare still, THEN maybe change stuff. Otherwise, I'd say just to tweak them a bit.

Just as bro above me said - tweaking some bits would keep it a bit surprising for someone who already feels right at home.
I'd say that adding some details would be more reasonable, like small bits of sand or small cracks on those nice stones, but that's only a quick guess.
Anyway, you know what you're doing. It's hard to fuck up now (I guess).

Seconding this. From a financial perspective it makes no sense, either. The people who benefit from such a change have already paid you--better to invest time in things that will benefit everyone (i.e more content), both those who have seen the beach already from previews, and those who haven't seen a thing.

At least switch around what happens if you talk to the soldiers at the bridge.

Player answering "Alright, we'll come peacefully" then results in the soldiers saying: "Haha, just kidding, you don't have a choice mate, we're gonna kill ya."

By the way, are we stuck with the 2 main characters in coop?
Or is there some customization (class, gender...) right at the beginning?

There is customization (gender, visuals, portraits, colors). The game uses a classless system, though, so you just assign points in different areas depending on what you want to do.

Linked my article to one of my two best friends. He doesn't like RPGs unless there is Diablo in the name though he enjoyed Divine Divinit a lot. He replied earlier to tell me I convinced him to back D:OS with the power of my words. :smug:
