How much money have they received outside of KS (if any)?

I wonder what the odds are of them offering Divine Divinity made with the D:OS as an add-on in the kickstarter for their next game assuming they do a kickstarter for their next game as well. While I love the original DD and it certainly pulls off the realtime a lot better than B did I'd still love to see it with updated mechanics, graphics etc.

Pretty low, honestly. Divine Divinity is big and it would probably take at least half as long to re-make it for the OS engine as it would to make a brand new game.

Hmm no I doubt it'd take anywhere near that long. They've got the storyline, mapdesign, dialogs,.... They'd mainly need to rebalance and redo items +skills for the turnbased and redo some of the models. It took one person a week to do a big part of the game as it is. It wouldn't be done by a team in one week but it wouldn't come close to a new game either I think.

Totalbiscuit's video is up. Quite nice video, I hope it will bring in lots of new pledges:

There is a sample from the music in the end. It sound very good, except the last 30 seconds which is dreadful.

To know the total progress, add $21 037 USD which were pledged via Paypal. (Last updated: April 24th, 16:45 GMT+1 )

And add to that about 8k from Codex and Watch fundraisers.

Hope they can still hit the 800k mark (kicktraq doesn't think so), would be a pity to miss out on those companions.

If you look at the past days 800k won't be a problem, only 80k to go for that and seeing as how the last day is seemingly the biggest day for most campaigns I suspect we'll go over 800k even.

In the video Swen claims that one person remade the entirety of Aleroth in one week (the area took originally several months to create).

Imagine Divine Divinity with a party, even more interactive environments, npc schedules AND turnbased combat.
:bounce: :bounce::bounce:
I can't imagine how well TB combat would work with literally thousands of enemies. One would basically have to rework all the areas and combat mechanics to make TB combat fun, but at that point it would be far removed from Divine Divinity.

Eh, replace every 50 random bums with a legit threat and you have what most people want anyway.

What's the problem with TB saying it's like those RPGs? Angry Joe compared it to goddamn Diablo, as noted by Unorus Janco.

Well, he was talking about dialogue-heavy RPGs, not just any computer RPG. Mentioning IWD and not Fallout is just wrong.

We need around 6K/hr to get 1M. Sounds unlikely, but not utterly impossible.

How do you figure that Arkeus? Don't forget that paypal'll be open for 2 weeks post KS so if we get to, say, 900k via KS + PP at end of KS the last 100k shouldn't be an issue in those 2 weeks.

I'd prefer not to rely on Larian saying they will include the stretchgoal if we bridge the gap after the kickstarter is ended.

Paypal donations are always only a fraction of the whole KS. I'm not sure they can make an additional 100K on paypal alone. After the KS, the press coverage is only minimal, and most people don't know that they can pledge on paypal.

Unless I'm seriously mistaken, and I'm 99,9% I'm not, they already stated that the funds in that window would also count towards the stretch goals. Keep in mind that paypal is already at 21k, likely higher now even and that the watch + codex'll be added to that too (I'm assuming you both have a seperate paypall and will only transfer at a set point). I'm not saying they can bridge the gap with the post campaign but it doesn't seem impossible. Alot of publicity is coming in late, even now they're still doing let's play movies etc so if they can make certain people know about PP I'm not giving up hope quite yet :). Mind you, this might just be wishfull thinking on my part.

Kicktraq projections are ass and they change too fast to put any weight to them. A couple of hours ago kicktraq said that D:OS was "trending toward" $742 000. Now it's $759 000.

No, wait, it already changed to $763 000.
