I wonder what the odds are of them offering Divine Divinity made with the D:OS as an add-on in the kickstarter for their next game assuming they do a kickstarter for their next game as well. While I love the original DD and it certainly pulls off the realtime a lot better than B did I'd still love to see it with updated mechanics, graphics etc.
Pretty low, honestly. Divine Divinity is big and it would probably take at least half as long to re-make it for the OS engine as it would to make a brand new game.
To know the total progress, add $21 037 USD which were pledged via Paypal. (Last updated: April 24th, 16:45 GMT+1 )How much money have they received outside of KS (if any)?

And add to that about 8k from Codex and Watch fundraisers.
Hope they can still hit the 800k mark (kicktraq doesn't think so), would be a pity to miss out on those companions.
In the video Swen claims that one person remade the entirety of Aleroth in one week (the area took originally several months to create).Pretty low, honestly. Divine Divinity is big and it would probably take at least half as long to re-make it for the OS engine as it would to make a brand new game.
I can't imagine how well TB combat would work with literally thousands of enemies. One would basically have to rework all the areas and combat mechanics to make TB combat fun, but at that point it would be far removed from Divine Divinity.Imagine Divine Divinity with a party, even more interactive environments, npc schedules AND turnbased combat.
At least he didn't say "like Diablo and Torchlight""it's an RPG like Planescape, Baldur's Gate..." *tries to think of more big name rpgs* "Icewind Dale."
What's the problem with TB saying it's like those RPGs? Angry Joe compared it to goddamn Diablo, as noted by Unorus Janco.
Because it was. What's the problem with TB saying it's like those RPGs? Angry Joe compared it to goddamn Diablo, as noted by Unorus Janco.
I was more amused that IWD is one of the first things that came to mind as a preeminent RPG of the past.
I'd prefer not to rely on Larian saying they will include the stretchgoal if we bridge the gap after the kickstarter is ended. How do you figure that Arkeus? Don't forget that paypal'll be open for 2 weeks post KS so if we get to, say, 900k via KS + PP at end of KS the last 100k shouldn't be an issue in those 2 weeks.
Paypal donations are always only a fraction of the whole KS. I'm not sure they can make an additional 100K on paypal alone. After the KS, the press coverage is only minimal, and most people don't know that they can pledge on paypal. How do you figure that Arkeus? Kicktraq projections are ass and they change too fast to put any weight to them. A couple of hours ago kicktraq said that D:OS was "trending toward" $742 000. Now it's $759 000.Hope they can still hit the 800k mark (kicktraq doesn't think so), would be a pity to miss out on those companions.
