+5 demon fists are fucking garbage, same thing with the rest of the legendary weapons, since they cant be upgraded or buffed. Use a Dark Sword or a Butchers knife if you're using strength.
Buffs are pretty weak now, thanks to the way split damage works and the fact you can't buff elemental weapons. The legendary weapons have some pretty cool movesets great for fucking with people.

Buy game.

Play game.

Ten minutes in, game crashes.

Find out that this is a known issue and happens if you don't wear a helmet or have the lighting too high when approaching a bonfire.

This can happen at any bonfire.

"Steam refund requested."

It looked good, too bad it's not even remotely playable right now.

I KNEW it had something to do with my helmet!

Everything was fine. But the second I took my helmet off at firelink the game crashed.

Yep. That's why a lot of people were reporting certain classes were working (Namely Knight) without issue. It's the full helmet.

It seems poise is bugged or not working as intended. Which means tank builds in DaS3 are useless. At least for now.

I thought that was intended, aka we have Bloodborne now on PC...

C'mon. I said it pages ago. Set lighting to low, or game crashes. It has something with character hairs. (And possibly with some helmets.)

The ugly part is, it will not remember it should stay at low settings, thus you need to do it every time you start it.

Really disappointed by the color palette, it really is Dark Souls: Bloodborne edition. It's also wayyyyy to sunny.

Like some areas like the swamp could have been legitimately cooler if they took place at night. The Gutter and Blightown were my favorites areas from DS2 and 1, go figure.

So, finished the game. Almost certainly missed out on some boss(es) and area. Final boss was pretty cool (some of those spells were OP as fuck) but also a bit of a letdown after the cripple knight battle, which was fucking epic. Ending was... interesting.

So I had given the firekeeper her eyes, summoned her to the fire at the very end, and then as it goes dark, on a whim, I decide to try blasting her with a soul spear. It works, and goes to a cutscene of me kneeling with my foot on her face reaching for the fire, and I get some cryptic sass from the hag about being unworthy to even be cinder. Roll credits. Not sure what that was supposed to imply honestly, and I'm curious if you get the same cutscene without killing her at the end.

From what I've seen there are four different endings. The one you saw....

The one where you don't hit her and she just says, can you still hear me?. The 'normal' one where you simply link the fire and sit there. Some odd one where you complete Anri's quest and get to marry him/her depending on player gender.

Nameless King is insane. Can't beat him solo, can't beat him with summons. Wasted 15 embers on that fucker. I just don't know what to do with him when he goes in his rage mode, there's almost no window, he's all over the place and he can one-shot you. Funny thing is unlike other bosses there aren't almost any summon signs next to him and whatever appears is immediately snatched away.

Never played DS2 but it's kind of hilarious how frequently upgrade materials drop compared to DS1. Seems like every other enemy drops some kind of shard or gem.

From BB wiki:
Poise is removed in Bloodborne. Every attack will stagger the player (unless they are performing certain moves that grants temporary poise), and every attack the player does will stagger small enemies.

Seems poise matters mostly only during special attacks. Nice. Correlates with my experience.

Also the game has introduced another special Miyazaki's feature: infinite poise for enemies. If you actually stagger an enemy too much then he will get infinite poise and you cannot stun him anymore. Which means that he will break your combo simply by ignoring your following hit.

yeah but at same time to get to +1 you need 2 of them to +2 4 of them to +3 6 of them. So to get to +3 weapon (which isn't a lot really) you need 12 of shards. Also if you want to buy them they cost 800 piece so to upgrade weapon only via buy you need to spend ~ 10k souls which is a lot more than 10k in DS1 or DS2 as souls are gained way slower

More like it depends on type of attack monster does. I noticed that if i will do front attack on pot guy around 4-5 strike he will brake stagger and do swipe.
But if i will start attack from his back he won't do it and i will do as much strikes as my stamina gives me.

Though this needs further testing. Poise is in the game compared to Bloodborne.

I'm approaching the end of the game (I am a massive scrub so I didn't beat it yet even though summoning players against several bosses. Not like it helps a lot when half of them are even scrubbier and die in 10 seconds upon entering the boss fog).

My least favorite dark souls I think. Dark souls 1 still undisputed king, and I think I even prefer 2.

I can't really handle a lot of the bosses and enemies, they're movements are way too erratic and fast. I find the faster pace to be worse in general, more reflexes, less timing. The difficulty is also far more grating than before since there's often no other place to progress. Beat this boss or go grind souls in areas you've already scoured. Much too linear for my taste.

Have to say I'm impressed by boss design though, most of them are really cool.

Mostly its just making me want to go back to 2 and actually beat the DLC this time...

You can farm them fairly quickly in Catacombs of Carthus and Smouldering lake where some enemies seem to have almost guaranteed drop rate on shards with a lesser chance for large.
Haven't found any chunks so far thou. Seems like it's "gated.
I've got 3 +5 weapons half way through Irithyll.
Really digging the my Heavy Greataxe. Fast as hell considering it's size and damage. Stuns with one hit. Roll attack is the large club roll from DS1 which was one of my favourites, it can be followed up with another attack almost instantly. I'm killing the pointiff knights before they can even react (seems like a winning concept...)

The Nameless King is the best boss in the game without any doubt. I can help you with him if you're still stuck.

How much Vigor do you have if he can one-shot you? Also, I'm pretty sure he has multiple windows in which you can even stagger him. Are you playing with a shield?

It is definitely one of the best bosses of all the From games. This time I'm not even bitching about spamming. The first phase is very easy, at this point I don't even get hit. But the second phase....mang.

Anyway if you're available I'd welcome some help. I tried summons like 10 times and every single time they died leaving me with beefed up boss. Is there a way I can summon specifically you?
