Soooooo...

In the more than 500 Blood Bowl matches that I have under my belt in FUMBBL, Cyanide and the boardgame, I have never been decimated to the extent I was in this match in a 1000TV vs. 1000TV match. Sounds good? Well, read on:

First 3+ dodge roll in second turn? My Blitzer is killed.

Not long after, badly hurt on another Blitzer.

At Turn 8, a Skaven player is standing alone by the touchdown-line. I have to make a 1D block against him, but everything but a skull is enough, as it will result in a crowd-surf (with the exception of Both Down, but my guy has block, and his doesn't). The roll? Well, you guessed it: Skull ;)

Then, a casualty on a third Blitzer causes -1STR. To top it off, this is only player I have who earns SPP during the match (from the only injury I manage to inflict to DamnedRegistrations).

I have 3 KO's after DamnedRegistration's first score. Not a single one regains consciousness.

My last Blitzer? He's gonna miss next game.

I pretty much consider it a miracle that DamnedRegistrations only scored one touch-down. As you can count from the above info, I was down to 4 players.

Now the most interesting point of fact: This was against a Skaven opponent. A fucking skaven. FUCKING OUCH.

Suffice it to say, my chances look pretty grim moving forward in the tournament. But I'll take it as the emo-fag this match has made me a man, and continue ploughing forward in the name of Nuffle :salute:

The last action of the match was Warpstone Troll eating an unfortunate goblin.
So that's what happened to the other Goblin! I must have missed the message and was wondering how exactly he got killed.

@Grunker: A classic example of the Dark Elf curse. I was there too. Brings back memories. Very unpleasant, horrible memories.

If I understand correctly, Ulminati will have to play his match against Kostia first, just as my next opponent PelvisKnot, has to finish his game against Undead Phoenix before he will be able to play against me.

Get on with it, guys!

Oh, can anyone explain to me what the ratings listed in the members list mean/are comprised of? I'm guessing team value is a big factor but I'm not sure what else is in it.

My next match is against Ulminati it would appear. I'm ready to play our match whenever.

Me and Kostia are playing our match saturday - probably around 6PM BBTime. (that's the timezone the fumbbl servers are located in. Same as Paris and Copnhagen. One our ahead of London). I'm available to play immediately after that match if you're up for that. It also means any Codexers who want to spectate the matches live can get to /boo and /cheer in both of them.

as the match ended just second after this unfortunate incident, I would have missed it too if not for the OM NOM NOM NOM sound that was played.

We can safely say that Grunker's team has indeed been raped :yeah:

I haven't heard anything from Kostia, so I'm assuming our tentative schedule of 6PM BBTime today holds. Fore those keeping track that's 6 hours from when I make this post.

I'll be on fumbbl irc (irc.fumbbl.com) in the room #rpgcodex. I'll try to be there 5:40 at the latest, so we can sort shit out if there are client issues. As some of you may be aware, it is possible to spectate matches live as they happen on fumbbl by going to http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=games

you can use /boo /cheer and /hurt in spectator chat to play sound effects ingame.

If DamnedRegistrations is up for it, I can play our match immediately after my game with Kostia, assuming it occurs. Otherwise he'll have to shoot me a PM on fumbbl or here and we can coordinate a time to play our match during next week.

Game over. Match report: http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=3182861

Kostias Minotaur had apparently forgotten it was a big guy and started every turn with a blitz with no negative consequences in first half. A decimated, 7-man team of dwarves desperately tried to make the score 1-1 in the second half without their bull centaur but to no avail.

A nail-biter until the end. For a moment I really thought my lone hobgoblin had a shot at a TD. Being outnumbered with MA4 is a real bitch.

Both teams suffered deaths, which is how you know it's a real blood bowl match.

So skyway, Cleve and Andhaira held the retardoland by the balls, how fitting. I got something like two failed negatrait rolls, even got the goblin to hand off to the skaven without problems. Though in the end I still got bashed pretty bad, it's pretty difficult to score with only dwarves and one hobgoblin I suppose. Drog bit the dust, so I cloned Rogua apparently as a Dark Elf (oops!).

Match over. Retardoland regains their other honour. Match report: http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=3182893

the rats won the cointoss and chose to kick, which confused mea bit. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, the dwarves comfortably steamrolled the rats for 8 turns, securing a numerical advantage. A freak riot and subsequent extended playtime allowed the rats 2 turns to score, which a gutter runner proceeded to do with a long pass and 3 dodges in tackle zones of a dwarf with tackle.

Second half put pressure on the dwarwes, although they were givne a lucky break by having injured the rat ogre in the first half. An unlucky pass from the rats allowed the dwarves to take posession, and they proceeded to cage their way down the pitch. An unlucky snakeeyes on a going for it nearly cost the dwarves the match as the ball got knocked loose when the cage faltered. Fortunately, the scatter of the ball was in our favour and we managed a comfortable 2-1 score in the final moments of the match, netting our Bull Centaur the teams first skill.

Next up is Grunker with his faggy emo-elves. I hope he'll remember that IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TOTALLY AVOID INJURY ON GO FOR IT IN BLOOD BOWL

Ulm did not in fact lose, due to much cheating, bad refs, and other things that makes a BB match a good one. Though given the upgrade I got out of it (7SPP on my thrower resulting in an AG+ roll!) I can't possibly have asked for anything more. No more shitty odds on picking up and handling the ball for me.

Our spectators were very odd, and met most of the interesting plays with either silence or boos.

Oh, and my premise for going second against a bashy team is having 2 setup phases to roll for knockout recoveries. I probably wouldn't bother with a better team, but fielding only 11 rats makes those knockouts hurt a lot more.

Lies and slander! The rats continually threw themselves under my sporting and innocent players hobnailed boots in an effort to make us look bad! Thankfully the referee saw through the disgraceful display from my erstwhile opponets players and let my hobgoblin, affectionally known as "Fouly McBoot", remain on the pitch.
