Well that sounds decent enough but since you like to post like this is a diary LMAO I wouldn't mind if you kept talking about how is hacking going as you keep playing.
I lost interest in the game. The combat is decent, maybe but the AI is way too dumb in contrast to the high tech combat. You would imagine they’d have IQ boosters or something.

Damage hacks do more damage if the target is affected by control hacks first, so you blind them, then directly queue up the damage hack if you’ve skilled enough in the talent tree, and then wait for your RAM to recover to do it again. If that sounds boring it’s because it is.

You can also hack turrets and kill them with it or explode gastanks and such. Overall not really fun because of retarded AI tbh

Or, Panam missions are highly scripted and they need you in the passenger seat so you can have the upcoming argument with her about attacking the raffens and you choosing whether to help her or demand she helps you with your job now.

Sometimes, shit is just incompetence.
Almost all missions are like that. It's a movie game. They really wanted you to ~*experience*~ the game more than playing it.

God, you people are boring. Boring and predictable. Chick doesn't let you drive her car? WOKE! Romance options in a game taking place in Mongrelmerica not white enough? WOKE! Too many brunettes? WOKE! There's gay people? WOKE! Everything is woke, everything is cucked and you have to point it all out to everyone all the time.

Is CP77 a great RPG? No, but then again, neither were any of the Witcher games. Good games, shitty RPGs.

What CDPR quite successfully accomplished with CP77 is combining the cinematics and set pieces of games like Uncharted with an open world and some very light RPG elements in a way that actually feels pretty damn good. That, by itself, is a lot of fun, now that the game has been fixed into a decent state.

Just don't expect some sort of deep RPG. I mean, why would you? It's CDPR.

Witcher 3 is a much better RPG than this because you actually get choices and consequences during quests.

Choices, sure, but only very few result in consequences that extend beyond the boundaries of that specific quest, though.

Granted, the Cyberpunk base game was a step backwards compared to TW3, but the Phantom Liberty sidequests have improved in that regard.

Yeah, basically an echo chamber of basement dwellers sharing their deep insights on how the world should look like...

I enjoy the fact there is very little censorship on the Codex but such decision has consequences - it draws various socially-challenged freaks like a magnet.

With 2.0 and a lot of mods (especially Cyber Vehicle Overhaul, NC Ambient NPCs (.ini tweaks), Natural Californian Lighting Mod) the game is actually cool. I very much like it but I take it as it is, a Hollywood Blade Runner adventure game.

All the GTA open world stuff is atrocious. All the RPG stuff is atrocious. If they would have just removed all these altogether and invested more into adventure type sidequests it would be a much better game.

I think the DLC is bad, personally.

- The new area is the ugliest and most generic in the entire game. It's basically just rubble and trash.
- The new characters are basic Call of Duty military fantasy types. No personality, boring, predictable, ugly, stupid, done a million times already.

IMHO not worth getting.

The base game is amazing though and well worth it.

However they decided to market the thing, it has:
1. Character creation,
2. Character development with various builds centered around attributes, skills, weapons & cyberware,
3. Different ways to approach quests (combat, stealth, hacking, sometimes talk),
4. Some limited c&c.

This is enough for CP2077 to be a RPG. Most pre-Fallout rpgs didn't even feature choices and consequences, they were more or less linear campaigns.

my grandfather refused to take a bus if a woman was driving it
he'd fit right in here, god bless him
Well buses and trucks required physical strngth to turn the steering wheel for quite a long time IIRC, but unfortunately I can't find via google just when powered steering got good enough "even women" could do it. At the back of my mind I think it was the 80s or 90s, but my memory could be fooling me.

if cdpr was worth something it would let you use your tech to sabotage the car, cut the power steering or something, so panam couldnt turn the wheel and let you drive

Ok. So I finished the phantom shit DLC.
It was shit.
Except...for the chimera chase and fight. They blew their load too early with that, it should have been the final boss. I also liked the spider killer robot Alien Isolation sequence, really well done. But guess what? It turned out to be shit. No spider killer robot boss fight, no chase sequence, no Songbird cyberpsycho fight...WTF, what do devs have against cool stuff?
Whatever. I have spoken. So it is.

That's why I prefer the Songbird path instead. You lose out on some stuff like the MaxTec bossfight and the whole bunker part (which I didn't like, there's no reason why that robot's invulnerable when we started the DLC destroying the chimera) but the final section is a LOT more fun and it escalates accordingly. Plus it feels a lot more natural since there's no "woe is me" backstory crammed into the screen, it's just two sick people trying to survive.

This game is an RPG in the same sense that Diablo 4 is an RPG - only in the loosest possible sense, and not for any of the traits most Codexers would look for in something they'd call an 'RPG'

I haven't done the other path. Only once I fought Max Tac in the wild at 5 stars and they destroyed me. I think for the quest they toned them down, were easy, way easier by comparison.

Start parade mission, hear the plan, think of all the posibilities, get railroaded every step of the way (including moving through crowd). It hurts more when everything needed is implemented in the game yet some designer designed his epic vision is what had to be enforced.

The moment when the white barmaid transformed into a fierce nigress was the most hilarious of all unintentionally hilarious moments I've had in gaming, all the way back since Grim Fandango.

I lol'ed and said "yeah, we've all been to such parties in our university days"

I'm not sure if they are, I remember fighting them with 5 stars too and they felt around the same, only with way more enemies shooting at me.
