A good rule of thumb, that I really shouldn't need to is mention, is don't make extra work for the mods and admins. Of course some amount of work, like dealing with spammers and general thread maintenance, is part of the job and expected. However we don't get paid for the stuff we do so if you are making us do extra work you'll likely end up on our unwritten "watch list" and it's just a hop, skip, and a jump from there to my list of potential ban candidates.
Another thing to know is that we do pay attention to who is contributing to the "signal" on the site and who is contributing to the "noise", as I described in this post from a few years ago. Those of you who have been adding to the signal, or have built up a store of "goodwill" (or "karma", if you will), are treated differently than somebody who is mostly just adding noise or who is a newcomer on the site, and therefore hasn't had a chance to build up much goodwill. This also factors into who ends up on our watch list.

With regards to BLUND specifically I got tired of checking all of his pics posts for inappropriate content. Before his last pics post in this thread he posted a NSFW pic in the funny picture thread and a pic in the funny picture thread that was likely to freak out the arachnophobes on the site. And there were other similar instances before those. He might not have known we have a special spider thread to put the spider pic in but it's up to each newcomer to learn the norms and "idioms" of these forums as we don't provide any guidance to newbies on here. You might even say we're newbie unfriendly, though I don't think we're as bad as when schild was more active and banning newbies for posting stupid shit.

BLUND also didn't contribute much outside of his pics postings and so didn't have much if any goodwill built up in my book, which factored into my decision. Somebody like rk47, on the hand, has contributed a lot to the site beyond all of his pics posts, as his custom title attests to. In fact I made this board so rk47 would have a place to put his pics that weren't appropriate for the other picture threads rather than banning him or telling him to stop posting his pics.

I probably should've only temp banned BLUND, and I may rescinded his ban at some point, but as I said we tend not to like those posters who are making the mods and admins do extra work and I didn't feel he was contributing enough to keep around.

And while we're on the subject of things not to do here, do not give the moderators shit for doing their job. If you don't like something a mod has done, talk to me or schild. Some of you are fortunate that the mods have pretty thick skins. I, on the other hand, am too old and don't have the patience to put up with crap from you people and as some of you know am very quick to ban those who give me shit personally.

Oh god, they're white knighting the arachnophobes now? Special snowflakes everywhere! Not that learning to deal with their fear by looking at pictures of spiders is part of a therapy they should be undergoing. Talk about hurting them more than helping.

Yeah, apparently we had different definitions of 'Cute', 'Funny', and 'NSFW'.

I gotta admit I never expected to get warned for posting a funny spider gif in a funny gif thread, unless I was on a forum devoted to arachnophobia. Also got warned by an admin to stop calling The Witcher 'TWitcher', which took me a bit by surprise as well.

So. Will be fun to see if RK intentionally loses the coming game. :troll:

Yep, results are in. Those immediately below RK in the rankings drew a tie. RK cannot fail proceeding to the playoffs because of better results in the games against the others at 10 points.

Any bets on how RK will play his game? +M

We're not conceding shit, faggots. I'm not gonna let that Biowhore move on to next round. And since losing has no consequences, guess what kind of playstyle I'm going for in this match?

That's right, fuck risks - we're going all out.

Hey guys, I can't really wrap this AAR tonight, I gotta go to bed. But here's the kick off -

01.jpg

Yeah, it's nice to play a game with no pressure at all. Losing here means I'm down to 4th and still goes through. Anything else means I finish third in the group.

02.jpg

Should be a cracking game in store for us.

03.jpg

Taking receive. I wanna score early to pressure this guy.

04.jpg

As the team gets on the pitch - rain starts to pour in. That's -1 to all catch, pick up and interception. That's very bad to our passing play. Kick off event is -

05.jpg

Oh.

02 - Carlsberg - Part of the Game

The Dane's star is fading - Azira takes a probable career-ending injury in a pressure-free game. The Knights coach has a decision to make: save his star for an upcoming playoff game - or let the play go on?

Play on he did.

01.jpg

He signals for the body to the removed from off-field. This could be the Dane's last game of the season... what a sad end to a sterling career for the Knight's no.1 receiver.

No emotions - only grim determination to play the game from the Knight's bench as they start play with 1 man down.

02.jpg

Knights going in with 4 blitzers on the right side of the field. Azira was supposed to be there as the primary receiver on the rain soaked field.

03.jpg

There goes Jaedar and Gondolin - who's next?

04.jpg

Looks like Stabby's in it too.

05.jpg

Brother None finishes the attack formation by standing guard next to stabby. It's time for the wolf dance...

06.jpg

That first block shd've been good enough to take down that zombie - but the Knights coach got greedy...

07.jpg

Nearly ending the turn with a disastrous two-dice block IN FAVOR of the enemy! But the result is a push on the zombie - right on the edge of the field.

08.jpg

Off it goes! It's 10-10 on the field as the Knights go for broke.

09.jpg

Riccitello-Xenomorph partnering on ball duty...
First pick up in this shitty rain is a ....

10.jpg

...TURNOVER! This rain's gonna be a bitch.

I'm sorry this AAR will take longer to complete. If you guys want the replay I can provide the file when I get home.
But let's play a mini-prediction game. The closest guess gets to name the new Ogre we're recruiting for playoff.

Q: How many pick up failure will we have in this game for both sides?

Keep in mind XenomorphII has already failed twice - Once and again with Sure Hands reroll.
