Okay, I'm officially done with Morrowind for now... and possibly the future. On my way to do a fighter's guild quest I stumbled on a ruin and decided to explore. It was full of vampires one of which was decked out in all ebony gear with Daedric greaves and another in all glass armor. After looking it up I found out it was the base of the most powerful (and joinable) vampire clan and I wiped them out with little more than a few prep buffs and healing potions. After that I went to see if I could kill the Lord's Mail guy and... I could (took a while but he died). So, game over, I win.

Garmik, You better backup your save file before uninstalling unless you want to re-start. After I uninstalled the mods, a lot of NPcs were missing their heads or bodies or something and had to restart and I only used a retexture types of mods.

Does sneaking give a multiplier or increased damage? I finally managed to find the head of Morag Tong guild and was given a test. But I couldn't kill the guy no matter how sneaky I was finally chugged an invisibility potion I got from the woman with the love letter near Pelgaea[?] and managed to kill him in one hit. Tried a few times and same thing.

Sorry for double posting, Unable to edit my post.

I am now lost for the first time. One of the Writs is to assassinate an outlaw (I think) in Zaintiraris and I have been there, The place is almost a death trapped with Dremoras and Green lizards. But the instructions for the location they gave me says to go to north of that place to somewhere called Erabenimsun Camp and then head Northwest to reach Zaintiraris which as I said is actually south of the camp. I figured there is probably a hub like places or something and they are called that and followed the instruction but there was nothing northwest except for a river of lava and got stuck in the floor somewhere north of it and had to reload.

Anyway on the bright side I think I just got my second Daedric item[?] which is a Ring of Khajit from Maphala. I think the guy she wanted dead was innocent or something because if he really did break the rules then there is no reason to hide it from the other guild members or the master for that matter.

The Zaintiraris you've found, is it near the southern shore of Vvardenfell? If it's the place I'm thinking of, there are actually two very similarly-named locations.

Yes, It is. I checked the name a few times and I swear it looked/looks the same.

Thank you, I'll try and search the areas northwest of the camp again.

Zaintirai and Zaintirais are different places.

You are thinking of a daedric shrine to Sheogorath, but what you actually seek is a small bandit hideout.
The shrine is just south of Molag Mar.
The hideout is north and a little bit west of Erabenimsun camp.

Be grateful you weren't sent to Nchurdamz.

Seems like GCD is the culprit of my freezes :\
But that's so odd, I mean, there's probably dozens of people using GCD + Code Patch, there has to be something else wrong, I think I'll just re-install everything and keep it as clean as possible, since I did make a bit of a mess with all the mod jungle when I installed the game.

Yeah, that won't be a problem, I'll just restart the character to make sure it's all fine, since I didn't do much at all, I noticed the problem at the start with the unarmed skill book in Seyda-Neen's lighthouse.

Which version of GCD are you using?
At first I was using 1.07c, not knowing that wasn't the latest version (jungles! Never again using planetcrap, or google for that matter, to search for Mw mods), then I tried with 1.08, and then GCDLean, but still no dice.

Yeah those are old, I delved deep into forgotten dungeons to find GCD Lean 2.04a, worked perfect for me. I can upload it to mediafire or something if you want to give that a shot.

It has to be some other mod clashing with it then, since like you said, code patch alone shouldn't cause issues with it.

The real reason Morrowind is not fully voice acted: because noboy can pronouce the names of over half of the locales.

They pushed "all voiced" before it was ready. They did this to be technically impressive at the launch of a new console and sell shitloads. It worked.

Oh well.

All voiced in OB was so unbearably shit that I still can't believe it worked.

At least Skyrim improved on that model by moving towards more Fallout-y approach - a handful of NPCs bearing most of the dialogue in game (individualized and more substantial than in lolblivion), and majority of people not interested in holding conversations with a murderhobo.
It's still inferior for an open-world game where you might want to ask a random passerby WTF is a foyada ice-wraith, but it works sort of ok for a game not focused on dialogue and emoshunal engagement.

I'm playing Skyrim for the second time and after a couple of hours I've already lost count on how many times I've wanted to stab my ear drums because of how horrid the dialogue and voice acting are. It's like they grabbed a bunch of random people off the streets, gave them the script and told them to read it out loud while faking a Norwegian accent. I've found myself spontaneously murdering quite a few characters already because I feel it's the only way I can maintain my sanity. Too bad that there are so many essential NPCs in the game and I kind of want to finish at least some parts of it (probably just the DB questline).

Yes, that's the way you should do it if you're going with full voice acting and still want to create an illusion of actual towns rather than ghost towns. However, the dialogue in Skyrim still flows completely unnaturally, with the NPCs usually just having some retarded introductory line ("I work at Belethor's store", "I just lost my sister, have you ever lost anyone close?", "I've got ties to the Dark Brotherhood so get out of my way") followed by a few lines of random infodump. The only reason you'd want to talk to them is to get quests, and trying to cram some kind of personality into a couple of lines of text results in a bunch of ridiculous one-dimensional characters not unlike Oblivion. The characters basically spell out their personality for you, because Bethesda is completely incapable of subtlety at this point. There's the angry guy, there's the slightly silly guy, there's the senile woman, there's the supposedly very hot chick that everyone wants to marry and so on. Still better than just being able to choose between "Rumors" and "The Imperial City", but compared to any game with half-decent writing it's fucking horrible.

It was billed as the second-coming of Christ by the media and came out when there was literally nothing of merit on the Xbox 360 other than Call of Duty 2. It was also the first Western RPG a lot of console gamers had really seen. It blew their minds, even though it was shit. It depresses me.

Any ideas on unstucking NPCs? I have to escort a kajiit slave named Rabinna and she's stuck in Hla Oad.
