Played some Dark Spire, grinding at the start for an hour or so to remember how the game works. Then found out two of my characters don't meet the requirements for multiclassing to pretty much anything, so I had to make two new ones in their place. Back to the drawing board, and now getting slaughtered in the tower because they're level 1

Fallout New Vegas. Basically dicking around after completing Dead Money DLC and hitting the level cap. There's not much left to do I guess but I just don't want it to end so I'm postponing the endgame as much as I can.

Haven't been much of a gaming mood lately and spending a lot of my spare time writing or picking through the forgotten corners of my DVD collection. I usually have Minecraft running in the background when I'm doing the latter though--I'm putting together an Edwardian manor house right now. I'm also mulling another New Vegas playthrough, or maybe a final ME2 run to be ready when this last DLC hits.

Still playing through Persona 4. I've been playing it on-and-off for the past two months, mostly on weekends, but I've still spent a good sixty hours on the game.
Reached
Adachi's
dungeon a little while ago, and recently rage-quit after I lost a few floors progress and a good 3 levels of experience to a bunch of stupid fucking dolls and them spamming fear and instant death spells at me.
I'll probably just start again next weekend.

Was thinking of playing Persona 3, but realized I still haven't figured out how to run the emulator.

So I went back to Shogun 2 : Total War, Sims Medieval, Crysis 2 and Bulletstorm.

BROS RIGHT NOW I AM ALL POPAMOLE AND PLAYING RED FACTION GORILLA

I JUST GOT MY TAX RETURN THOUGH AND I AM AFRICAN AMERICAN RICH SO I BOUGHT VANQUISH AND FIGHT NIGHT CHAMION AND GOTHIC 2 GOLD AND SPACE RANGERS 2 AND ZENO CLASH

BROS I HAVE ENOUGH SHIT TO LAST A WHILE

You go BLOBERT. Vanquish is a bit short but an absolute blast to play - best boss fights I've seen in a while. A new twist on popamole for sure. :salute:

EDIT: Actually, if you start with it and finish it in under a week, you could maybe take it back and swap it for something else.

Oh god, don't. The game is fucking brutally boring, pacing is painfully slow (First 2-3 hours is exposition, nothing happens for another 40 hours, game picks up again), voice acting is hilariously awful at times, the gameplay is just cheap (You can't control your allys, and they're prone to making rock-stupid decisions), and the payoff for beating it just isn't worth it.
If you really must, play Persona 3 FES instead, it improves the experience a bit, but if you want to play a Persona game, play 4.

Not sure if 4 works on an emulator. FES, according to the 2008 compatibility list, doesn't. So its either 3 or I go back to devil survivor on the NDS emulator. And i've already played that twice.

EDIT : I did read the topic about the PSP version working on an emulator, but the question here is - cheats? I've already finished 3 and 4 once (twice including FES) and I'm just in it to look at the social links I missed.

Persona 4 and Persona 3 FES work flawless on pcsx2.

Playing Alpha Protocol. Second and final play-through. Playing as a Rookie (don't want to play veteran, makes the game too easy) on hard.

-Puzzle Quest

I hate this fuckin' game, yet I keep coming back to it. I don't know why either. I have a shitty mage who isn't worth a shitty magic show and a couple of bosses I can't seem to beat. Yet, I 'm intrigued by the game somehow...there aren't too many other "rpg" games out there where I grind it out with an orc gatekeeper over a puzzle board that could kill me in a mere few short turns, given the wrong amount of luck or bad moves.

Game is a great time waster.

-Skies of Arcadia Legends

I just rediscovered this old gem awhile back and started playing a new game. It makes Dragon Age 2 look like diluted putty. Putty, I tell you!

And at least I can fly in the game. Yes, fly.

I recently played through Puzzle Quest (don't play as a Knight it's boring) and I have to say I enjoyed Puzzle Quest 2 more. While it cuts out a lot of RPG elements like crating, keep sieges, the over world, etc. I found a lot of that more tedious than engaging. Puzzle Quest is fun because of the turn based match/ability use fighting mechanic and the other stuff is just window dressing. The sequel does a better job at the actual fights and cuts out the tedious stuff.

Anyhoo, I just finished up Gothic 1. Not without flaws but a really solid game. Combat/controls aren't nearly as bad as some people make them sound. Now I have to pick one of a dozen or so games from my backlog to keep churning through before any other major sales. Maybe Titan Quest. Or I could finish up Trine, King's Bounty The Legend, or Thief: Deadly Shadows.

Ok, just beat Persona 4 an hour ago, and am moving on to Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call (AKA Nocturne).
Any tips from people who've played it beyond the obvious 'it will make you HURT'?

Was doing some RPG rounds, such as G3(will return), SOZ(will return), and Ascension. Burnt out on Ascension and felt the need to try a different genre. Currently blasting away at X3:TC. Had a moment of AI retardation set me back about 5 hours of gameplay(lost about half a mill!). Currently at about the same stage again, and deciding my next move. More ships, factories, etc? Any advice? ;P

just finished Shadow of the Comet!
man..dont you just love it when you basically solved a puzzle/many puzzles but because of FUCKIN clunky controls/interface it just doesnt work so you think alright lets try something different..which turns into gazillion different things you try, then consult a walkthrough to see that you got it right the first time around but always missed the right pixel to stand on while trying?
LOVED it nonetheless! i died many horrible deaths too
"poor parker...." ...if i would get a nickle for everytime i heard that.
plus...ending was weird for a game after a lovecraft story...see..i think it was ghostdogs lp for reference

started quest for glory and dreamweb, so im onto those now, but my thief was raped by a fuckin saurus after not having saved for some time...so i dont want to play quest for glory at the moment :M

...uh. Fuck the Sims Medieval, this is just a money grab.
Nothing of substance in there, not even a sandbox.
If they think they're heading into the right direction, they must be smoking something fierce.

Ninja Gaiden 2. About halfway through on Mentor mode.

NWN2 for the first time. Dragging my awful Barbarian through it.
