Also, if you max out coordination and pick death wish or serial killer, on top of firing two shots you can mark targets. A sniper shot with precision strike on marked targets, with the high crit chance and damage, can take down even tanky bosses. I one shot that beastmaster dorsey in colorado springs like that and probably would have done it even if he had twice the HP.
The clones fight was a piece of cake aswell, could take one of the clones down with my sniper alone.
Speaking of which, an advice on that fight is to fry the turret's CPU instead of disabling it if one of your guys has precision strike ready on first round. And try not to put your guys too close to each other so they don't all get hit by the shrinking grenade.
Good point about maxing APs in order to Mark in addition to shooting twice.
However I've also been thinking about the Perk choice. I went with Serial Killer, as Death Wish seemed too risky. Also loosing armor (and its buffs and mods) sucks.
But some issues:
1. Serial Killer isn't active before combat mode starts, so after alpha sneak attack you youre stuck with 3 AP and can't shoot at all in 1st round,
2. You don't ALWAYS kill enemies (on Ranger),
3. Lastly with 8 Coordination you could attack twice every 2nd round anyway with AP saving action. A universal damage buff like Sadomasohist +33% could potentially be better in this case?
Playing on Ranger and so far it's p. bad for my sniper. Found only 6 or so sniper bullets in the early game so I've been mostly using my Assault Weapon. I'm sure I'll get richer later on but scarcity seems to be a thing.is ammo scarsity a thing? in 2 only if everyone had an assualt rifle ammo was a problem.
I'm not even sure there are alternates for ANY slots/spaces in ranger HQ. I've been accepting everyone as soon as the option's presented just because I'm working under the assumption there either won't be other options, or they can be added rather than one person taking up all slots. It would be cool if there was more weight to your decisions with the base but the base feels more throw-away than something like the kingdom in Pathfinder Kingmaker so I'm not taking it very seriously. What group will be the alternative for synth hunters......for base space? There was an option for declining them by saying we're saving the space for someone else which I didn't, even tho Wolfe is a jerk, synths are dangerous amirite?
I haven't run out of ammo yet, but I don't have a massive stockpile of ammo either and I'm trying to keep just about every character on a different ammo type. I did just get the bonus ammo perk on someone though so that should help a bit.is ammo scarsity a thing? in 2 only if everyone had an assualt rifle ammo was a problem.
I've got my doubts but I may take another look at Wasteland 2 once I finish 3. I never looked at 2 after the DC was released I think, so maybe that cleaned it up enough that I don't gnash my teeth while playing it.Wasteland 2: DC is just as good, with a superior UI.
I've seen some people saying you don't start with sniper ammo if you have a sniper as one of your starting characters, which absolutely wasn't the case for me. So that might be related to the preorder guns, maybe they include ammo with those, so maybe he didn't remove it from an inventory and it didn't have the preorder bonus activated for whatever reason. Because yeah, I think I had around 30 sniper rounds at the start.Must be really unlucky. I think I had like 30 spare sniper ammo after the prologue.
Reached Denver and there's a big npc there who speaks like a codexer.
Pretty sure from the computer from the Clones room, when you direct your characters to stand on top of the circle machine and check the computer, you get random buff/debuff. I got that on one of my characters and Stink on another.btw
No clue how I got it. Downside is you can't go to the doctor(they should add an option to heal only specific characters on doctor).
The clone computer. You should have someone with The Stink too most likely, or maybe it's random. I ended up with one character getting a bonus and the other getting a penalty. Not sure if you can repeat the process if you don't let the landlord clean the apartment up.btw

Luxe apartments are behind the museum, sorta the center of downtown. There's an alley on either side of the museum, one leading to the group of thieves picking over corpses, the other leading to Little Vegas, follow either alley and then round the corner and the apartments are back there.Where are the luxe apartments? Are they in the Broadmoor Heights? It's the only area in city I haven't explored yet at this point.

I think Luxe is next to Little Vegas.
It could be because I was suppose to upgrade my weapon before I take the fight, because every weapon I get from the enemies are way better than the one I'm using and I haven't change weapon for quite some times.Getting more concerned with that as time goes on. Just did Brygo's casino by killing everyone and that was a bit gnarly, and then I did the synth-hunting side quest. Is kind of feeling like the bad guys are outpacing the rate the party advances. Having to use more cheese like rocket launcher and my sniper, which are the only two reliable major damage dealers. Picked up a few deployable turrets I'll try out later, but given how shit animal whisperer is I wouldn't be surprised if the turrets are garbage too unfortunately.Currently at level 17 and the enemy has starts to become bullet sponge, every one has 500+ health, meanwhile my melee character with 45 armor and 10 str still gets one shot by the enemy sniper for some reason.
You can target fuel tanks on flamethrower guys and the CPU on robots though. One-shot a boss dude by using a targeted shot to take out his fuel tank.I am disappointed that I can not target the groin with my sniper's special!
So thumbs up overall so far, but I'm still going to complain about some stuff that is tedious. Mostly QoL stuff. Anyway, here are the minor annoying things that irritate me so far:
- Some of the early Colorado Springs Skill Checks are crazy hard. There's no way you can be at Lvl 6 Lockpicks or Level 4 Nerd Stuff when you hit these checks, which can stop you in your tracks. I suppose you can create infinite Rangers to cover everything but that feels gamey to me.
I run a melee build on one of my characters. It's very viable. The dude's extremely tanky so he's always on the frontlines and draws fire as well as dishing a decent amount of damage. Go with Strength, coordination and speed. How do melee builds work out? better to just stick with all shooting?
