Confiteor Deo Omnipotenti (I confess to God almighty) dat i liek popamole rpgs liek the twitcher.

Blasphemy in the Hallowed Halls of the Wasteland 2 Discussion Thread!

I love Old games like fallout 1, wasteland, Darklands, Arcanum... I even Bought Baldurs gate 4 in 1 boxset with planescape torment and icewind dale with the few dollars i had while i was in Australia.

My devotion to Good rpgs is straight! but im not perfect sometimes i buy games like Witcher 2 and diablo 3. Hell, i even bought a 3ds... The point is that my money will go first on Quality games Then on other crap just because i like flashy shit on screen.

There is Dark Spire on the DS - one of the best old school RPG's that came out lately.

That would make more sense if it's dark, no? Of course, I don't know much about real shooting.
Or maybe it's supposed to be part of that "silliness" that's should make you lol SO HARD.

makes the target shiny and easier to track and hit?

Well yeah, that's the boring answer... ;)
Thinking about it, it makes more sense in darkness, though.
In broad daylight it shouldn't matter much if I point some additional lightsource at a target I can anyway clearly see.
Not that I think it matters much - it's a gameplay mechanic which doesn't need to make perfect sense.

Then it should reduce the hit chance of the (disco bot's respective) enemy, while I think they say it increases the chance for the disco bot's allies.

I think reducing the to-hit chance due to being annoyed/distracted by the lightshow would seem more plausible, though.

Yeah, remember that AC means dodging bullets... so, it would make sense what CK said.

Does the game is going to have a huge map to explore like the old wasteland? or is going to be like fallout tactics?.

1.5 AP per diagonal move settles the long and full of shit talking debate on the mighty Codex.

Moving diagonally in the calculation costs 1.5 times as much as a straight movement. Do note that your speed attribute changes the AP cost used as movement for all characters, so the calculation is never very simple.
Blargh.

:retarded:

I thought that AP counter was just a placeholder. They couldn't have seriously ever considered really using that, did they?

For the final game? I don't think it would've been in the final with or without external feedback, no.
