The other factions are less detailed, probably because they felt they had to try harder to sell a faction like the Mannerites to their fans than the other groups (As evidenced by catfood's reaction.), but I think they deserved a direct translation, as well.

Red Scorpions
Brian Fargo describes the Red Scorpions thus: "They are a paramilitary survivalist group as we know them today in the USA. And it actually worked, they survived. Oh, they also hate the Rangers."

Pistol Packing Priests
The Pistolero-priests believe that the so-called "rapture" already happened and it is now up to them to get rid of the trash god left behind. With pistols, for example.

Children of the Citadel
Half man, half machine and very arrogant: The Children of the Citadel are convinced that the salvation of the human race lies in synthetic advancement. Pure Humans are, naturally, below them.

Gippers
US president Ronald Reagan was also called "The Gipper" - a homage to one of his early movie roles from the 40s. The Gippers in turn are called such because they worship Ronald Reagan like a god.

Robbinsons
The Robbinsons follow the tradition of US-American motivational speakers like Dale Carnegie and Tony Robbinsons. Just think positively and the nuclear holocaust loses all its dreadfulness - at least when you are completely nuts.

Wrecking Crew
The wrecking balls are basically the street gang of Wasteland 2. They murder, pillage and wear armor made of scrap metal and trash with a passion - which makes them a good target for energy weapons.

Not sure what is the concern, AOD is made by enthusiasts and Wasteland by a team of professionals.
With the years people establish production cycles and learn to effectively use time, manpower and resources. The initial start of AOD was probably a step learning curve for it's creators . The development cycle would have been different and probably shorter, if it's creators had the routine back then that they probably have now.

PS. You're welcome Ladies and Gents.

If you look at Dark Souls, this is clear evidence that the player should not be treated like a baby. What I liked on the LOTR movies was the fact that they did not care if have seen the previous part. But I was right in. We believe that our players want a challenge, and that's what they are getting.

This is what I wish Josh Sawyer thought.

Such a filthy simulationist character system, and the possibility of awful builds is confirmed! Thankfully we still have Josh Sawyer, the only game developer in the world who truly understands system design.

Energy weapons are already there from the beginning example Ionbeamer or laser pistols.

Specializing in energy weapons at level 1, however, is not one of them. Is that a decline?
This was proposed by Sawyer/Roguey as an alternative to combining energy weapons into guns :M

Nah that's too railroading. There needs to be one pistol, one shotgun, one rifle, an energy weapon and a melee weapon and then they'd be grouped as "Arizona Desert Weapons" :P. Can't have the player using the same weapon type throughout the whole game!

wrong character builds may happen but someone should be really stupid for this to happen

God, i love this line. I hope they include it to their marketing speach.
That way everyone that makes a horrible build knows what the devs think of him
