Is there any VN where the heroine routes come after the true route? why doesn't anyone do this?

Are there any VNs where the protag is not a highschooler/young adult, and the plot doesnt degrade into romancing/dicking routes or drama for the sake of drama (because anything less wont connect with emotionally distant spergs)?
I mean, drama is always "for the sake of drama". After all, they are a piece of written entertainment.

There are always visual novels for fans of mature characters and equally mature storytelling to play. Like the Isaku-Shuusaku-Kisaku trilogy, where instead of being a high school student wrapped up in passionate love with delicate girls you play as a lower working class rapist.
You will be missed, elf.

In Cartagra MC is an unemployed ex cop living in a brothel as a freeloader. At least this is what i read in the description. Never tried this VN.

This is absolutely correct. What's more is that he even puts his paws on the goods - just how sleazy can this dirtbag get? Unfortunately the VN is worse than high school soap drama.
That aside, Innocent Grey's output (this, Kara no Shoujo, Caucasus, the other small projects) would probably satisfy people looking for mature protagonists. Definitely do not come into their VNs expecting mature writing, though. Their best series is a partial ripoff of a long-running series of bizarre Japanese mystery novels some of which you can read in English anyway. Ditch the piss-poor middleman.

Minor correction: In Isaku, the protagonist is a high school student, attempting to thwart Isaku's plan.

Edit:
To cite other lesser-known élf's works with an older protagonist, in their last game series/final game, the protagonist is a middle-aged quack doctor who is perpetually donned with white face paint.

In Kikokugai: The Cyber Slayer MC a chink super kungfu swordsman fighting cyborgs because his own sister wanted to fuck him so badly that his bro who loved her got super jealous and raped the shit out of her, after that he transferred her counsciousness into multiple luxury sex bots to make them more life like as a way to get back at protagonist.

In I Walk Among Zombies MC is a misanthropic office worker during zombie virus outbreak who becomes immune and zombies ignore him. Bro proceeds to have a time of his life pretending he is a badass who isn't afraid of anything while others try to survive. He rapes zombie chicks and blackmails a school girl to have sex with him in exchange for supplies.

That's a different game.
The élf game you've mentioned has its protagonist as a young working adult, and whose wife is a blue-collar worker.

I started reading this blindly

Cool start, 'post-apoc' setting, 18+ years old protag, etc.

One hour into the game and it turns into a slice of life school setting VN.... :argh:

I almost dropped it in the spot. Thank God it looks like it will get better now.

Interesting, ATRI has been a huge slog for me, maybe I had my fill of cryeges after reading Clannad again a little while ago.

Some hours into the OG Yu-no, I mostly play it in chunks late at night to unwind.

+ good art for the most part, very soulful. Not the most consistent, characters can look quite different depending on the angle.
+ bangin' OST, though used sparingly so far.
+ interesting story hook, ties into the 'gameplay' well. Good luck navigating this game without a guide though, if you don't want to miss the majority of content.
+ babes :bounce: not set on best girl yet, but Mio may just win me over with her haughty princess personality. How she manages to develop feelings for the MC is beyond me.

~ the daftest, horniest MC I've ever seen. Everything needs to be run by him several times before he connects the most obvious of dots. I get that this is to push responsibility on the player, and a horny teenager is what most adult guys can relate to at least to some degree, but he's still really aggressively dumb. Makes funny comments when ogling at women at least.

- they really do recycle areas a lot. I've lost count how many times I've done the home-school-beach-company route.

Pathfinder: Wrath

remaster is meh

I wished they would fully remake it like Tsukihime, on the other hand I guess this is a way to get the "definitive" English translation. But we don't even know if the far side of Tsuki Remake will even release before Nasu or Takeuchi is dead

The Ultimate Edition is great for combining everything into one package, but TakaJun's translation is rough. Not exactly inaccurate, but it is wooden, clunky and reads like an amateur novel. If the official release's translation is at least passable (and it would be quite a feat for it to be worse than TakaJun's version), the ideal situation would be for fans to port it over to the Ultimate Edition (while keeping his work for the scenes that are exclusive to the original or, ideally, retranslating them in full).

Don't get me wrong, the guy is great for translating so many classics in a minimally adequate manner (he also worked on the original English versions of Sengoku Rance and Swan Song), but he was just an amateur hobbyist and it shows.
