Yeah, I can't say I'd be unhappy if such a gal was common in Tyranicon's gamesAh, a fellow firehair fan.voluptuous redhead
I really have no idea what to expect from the game, but if it's anything like this thread it'll be fucking hilarious.
Nice cover. If I may suggest, add little fangs and drops of blood dripping down her cheek, even few drops of blood on cheek, and her licking her mouth with her tongue, or bitting her lip with small smile on her face would do it. Blood on her body from her last simp mortal victim is A MUST. Ideally cut-off head(s) of her mortal simp(s) beneath her feet, one held by dead simp's hair in her arm, above the ground. Also give her any cybernetics, no matter how small and auxiliary. Or some kind of cyberpunk outfit/accessory, maybe eye implant. With that you'll much better signal that game is about Sexy Cyberpunk Vampires and cover will artistically lvl up and become even sexierTitle has been officially changed.

I don't know how it'll pan out, but I'm really fucking excited. My buzzwordy elevator pitch is "Shadowrun + Sopranos + VtMB + Battle Brothers in a party-building, turn-based, isometric cRPG with porn."
After about a dozen years in gamedev, I'm finally attempting a breakout project.
I'm expecting a hell of a ride.
This. Market it as: Isometric Role-Playing Game with GTA-like style set in Cyberpunk setting ruled by Vampire Mafia Syndicates. Game for adults with tactical combat, entertaining story and featuring extreme sexual content. Lust is Immortal. Millions would have their attention caught with thatOne word of advice: don't market it as a porn game. Market is as a game for adults.
Very deep. Penetratingly deep, even."featuring a deep romance system"
''cute twenty year old girl, 3000 year old virgin''
Your renders on the OP are looking good... a bit of an uncanny valley blender porn vibe though. Just make sure to avoid excessive bimboification, or doll face syndrome. Not saying that it's that bad now, but be careful about that. Environments look fuckin great though. Those building assets all original?
I like the screenshots so far. I agree on bimbofication. Bloated lips and excessive sex doll look would detract from the mystique that vampires are usually associated with.
90% of the assets in the game are sourced from asset stores. Since this is still largely a solodev venture, I don't have the money (and can't be assed to spend the time) on comissioning new stuff when perfectly good stuff already exists.

I don't know if that's the best mentality. There are serious issues with using lots of generic assets in a game. If you use them from multiple sources, you can create significance dissonance between them, which can be jarring for the player. In 90% of cases I prefer simpler art that is original to reused stuff that is more complex. I'm not saying you can't make a good games this way. You just have to be a selective curator.
You could do 2d isometric stuff. I mean, how many large, detailed games with 3D art made by one developer are there? A lot of simplification of the art is fine. People here at least won't mind at all. But you do what you want, I'm just happy Codexers are actually making decent games.

Good points. Daz3d seems to still have issue on makeup for their female models, but that will take some elbow grease on my part to fix. There will be a mini-demo available soon mostly just to get opinions on the dialogue system and graphics.

Looks good! The lighting/shadows around the character seem off (the straight line shadow by his feet and headed to the wall), but the clutter and environment already look good. What are the four blue icons? Points of interest?First screenshot of the current build.
I didn't realize it until today, but the orientation of the text box by itself is probably going to get to game compared to Disco Elysium.
You're probably correct, but those comparisons seem inevitable anymore. It's not as if DE was the first to have that layout.the orientation of the text box by itself is probably going to get to game compared to Disco Elysium.

Never played it, looks more like Shadowrun to me. Don't worry about it.I didn't realize it until today, but the orientation of the text box by itself is probably going to get to game compared to Disco Elysium.
