My most awaited game of all time. I hope my 10 years old ThinkPad can run it so that I can pirate it, otherwise I will minecraft myself.

No, unless I misremember how nu-XCOM works.

Movement is a pool and basically behaves the same way as D&D.

You start with two action points but these can be increased. Actions like shooting will cost AP, but vary in cost. There will be D&D-esque bonus actions that cost 0 AP but require other resources.

I haven't decided on an upper limit on AP a unit can have, but vampires and other strong combatants like drugged up cyborgs will have a lot. They're basically in bullettime compared to baseline humans. I'll have to see what works and isn't annoying.
King Arthur: Knight's Tale had AP and MP. You could also use MP as AP in some cases. Might be worth looking into for inspiration.

For that matter so did Omerta: city of gangsters.

The internet (also called the omnimatrix in my setting because i dunno, it sounds like dominatrix) has a bigger part in Vampire Syndicate than previous games. Plus, cybermancy!

I love how the cyberpunk genre treats the internet as a magical other plane of existence accessed by computers rather than any kind of realistic portrayal of a network.

Mage: The Ascension turns it into a big mountain. Always fun to see tech illiterate people try to describe the internet.

Tyranicon Will there be fancy hacking/cyberspace mechanics in your game?
Something like the cyberspace from System Shock?

I started reading the wiki and having the internet born out of the mindcorpse of Turing is actually badass. It's always cool to see what magic settings come up with.

It probably won't be a minigame but just an attribute roll/check.

It's looking really good Tyranicon, graphically hitting the quality of showgunners, or other recent tbs.

Showgunners was pretty good, some gameplay elements were improbable but one of the better releases last year (or was it year before).
