Stuck in Expedition. Abyssal station. Running around in loops, killing natives and pirates, finally stumbled upon submarine but it's broken. You can mention that to a scientist on the island and he'll tell you can use that submarine to get to the station. How?
If you are talking about the submarine near Abyssal station itself - it's unrepairable, you need to find another one. the very north-east of expedition map

What is are some good builds for this? I am planning to play it.
I found going all in on throwing and assault rifle skills was a good first play through. Just level up everything that synergies with that, including Mechanical and a bit of Chemistry for crafting.

You don't need those for normal/hard. Otherwise there was a dedicated thread in this sub-section (some might be outdated though).
I'm not sure I agree with this. You can definitely screw up builds even on normal when you don't know game mechanics. I'm sure more experienced players can make anything work, but not new players.

The question was about "good" build. You absolutely can have success with a sub-optimal build on those difficulties. Damn, even on DOM guys were making playthroughs with shiv in their hand or crowbar (but they knew UR like the back of their hand though). The point is game isn't about builds themselves. There's also was a guy itt who went blind on DOM with throwing knives build (of his own) and at the very least went far, maybe even completed the game, not sure about that. That said, if a person is new to RPGs then of course they will suck a dick even on normal but we're here on the Codex after all right?

I still don't get it. I already explored the whole map, this place I found submarine is the only one that makes sense to reach Abyssal Station. How do I fix this shit? There is no option to do that

jackofshadows Yes that's fair enough, but I still think the game can be unforgiving if you try and spread points too thin even on shitter modes. I was somewhat guilty of it first time round, and it wasn't all that fun.

First, you need to obtain docking coordinates at F12, security headquarters. Then you need to proceed to blistering shores, at L12 (I'm refreshing my memory with this page). Then you need to tow the submarine either with Ferryman's help or by using the Freighter. Then you go to L2 and descend.

Yeah I was struggling myself at the time of the release in Deep Caverns but I don't mind that. I mean, I very much like ITS games for that kind of experience.

Depends on what DLCs you have.
If you want easy mode (well, except against psychic and elemental attacks), can builds are pretty easy to get into.
Without Expeditions you'd want can AR.
With expedition nimble can shotgun is really fun. You won't be as tanky as a tungsten AR or LMG build (or a 4 plate super steel, for that matter), but you'll be tanky enough and you can actually move more than 1 tile a turn and still shoot.
With heavy duty you'll want to use LMGs, which are ARs on steroids but VERY ammo and feat hungry. Or use a GL which are just broken weapons in general.

If you want slightly less easy mode stealth snipers are pretty solid. It's just that if you get caught out or surrounded you'll probably die, which is a problem that can builds rarely have. Seriously, a high level can build with high tier armour can tank 3 deathstalkers over multiple turns.

I never used a psy or melee weapon build so I can't really offer any. I know that TM is pretty overpowered and is basically a utility domain that worked even with low will.

Here is the deal - be my brian therapist and persuade, convince me to not be such a stubborn donkey as I am that I should not play IM, and I'll kiss you in the arse (virtually).
There is not enough alcohol and crack in the world to help deal with the frustration that will you feel.

"Nimble can"? As in heavy armor but with low encumbrance?

Yes. You take armour sloping and nimble to lower the penalty, and use super steel and spring boots and sprint to keep your mobility up while still having quite a bit of DR.
It takes a while to get going and is pretty stat and feat hungry, but it's really fun and is pretty tactical. You'll be using hit and run tactics (not the feat, though if you can somehow fit it in there that would probably make it even better) except if you do get caught out you won't just die. Unless you're fighting greater coils or psykers that is.

I was thinking about something like that in the past but i was never sure if it can be pulled off. However you'd need 8 STR which is nasty for a shotgun build. I was thinking about shotgun with 5 STR and become an agility god which i don't think many builds can do since agility isn't used for a lot of stuff. Damn, a nimble can shotgun sounds very tempting...

A propos, last time i forgot this movie for proof that the only weapon for real men is a shotgun:

Yeah, you might have to dump will and a little bit of con. Dex should stay at 5 so you can take leading shot, and there's no point in going more than 7 agi, 6 int and 8 strength.
Apparently you don't actually need that much perception for shotguns because they already deal silly amounts of damage upfront. I've seen builds with just like 8-9 perception and it still backs a wallop. The secret is apparently to use auto shotguns to stack sixth shell and switch to pump shotguns as a finisher, as they are lot more efficient per shot than autos.

Aside from the various gun builds that have been mentioned, a high Will psi build is strong. A glass cannon if you're doing a typical cave wizard build, though. You have tools to avoid getting hit, but if you do get hit it's going to hurt (assuming that you're alive to feel it). I'd definitely say that high Will psionic is the best build if you want to get the most out of the story. Also, I strongly discourage doing an iron man build until you've beaten the game at least once. It's a long game and death can be sudden if you don't know what you're doing.

I won't recommend glass cannon builds to any new player. This is fine for experienced players, for example, I had a run where I was jogging around in Regalia at 30% HP all the time, but for new player it will be a reload fest
I thought that a build with CON 3, + Psi Empathy and no armor to speak of, is absolutely obligatory to finish this game. People on the net told me so! :outrage:
