I don't know how I feel about this new art style they've been showing off so far. Maybe I'm just overly attached to the look of the original, but this 3d looking stuff doesn't feel as comfy
what outside of a few places underail is a ugly game if freddy krueger transported someone into a 90s adventure game slashed their eyeballs and left them there for all eternity they be in underrail.
I disagree. While amateurish at times, the artstyle of Underrail is highly consistent and functional, and occasionally very atmospheric as well. Expeditions took it on a whole another level.

I have never been active on this thread but I am considering playing Underrail because I have heard very good things about this game

I dont know much about it except for basically " Underrail is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game focused on combat and exploration."

I love exploring and I loved the Fallout games so it seems very applicable to what I enjoy

If fans of the game can share 2-3 things they like about this game that would be appreciated

-great exploration and atmosphere
-wide build variety and engaging combat
-fun crafting
-interesting setting, lore and great music

Just play it my dude and later you will end up bothering Styg for any scraps regarding Infusion like rest of us.

Good setting, great combat and character building, and has a difficulty mode designed to encourage exploration over XP grinding.

Just play it. The only people around here who'll tell you not to are those who got filtered by the game's dedicated filtration dungeon.

While it is indeed heaviest on combat/exploration, the dialogue is on point and a good amount of quests are quite involved.
Don't know about harder difficulties but on normal the game feels like a toybox in terms of functional builds.
The atmosphere is really great.
And the XP system, can't forget about that. It's also just great.
Must play:thumbsup:

It's basically 2d deus ex. Not a ton of logorrhea like you'd get from most RPGs but the world is well-designed and interesting, quests always have multiple solutions or nested fail states, huge variety in how you can approach combat encounters - though the game does suffer from the fact that once you lock in a build, you are hitting every problem with the same hammer.

That's not a problem - that's how RPGs should function. However, since UR being a massive game it might get repetitive for sure. You need to get fun just out of killing stuff.

No need to add to what the guys above have said. Definitely play it, but I recommend reading up on which stats work with which. It makes a very big difference. Also - don't ignore crafting in this game, which is something I almost always do.

Dude warned us about the cyber assassins. It's an obvious trap, don't fall for it.

Also, do we know where this is going to take place? Hexogen? North Underrail?

Tell me more
This is where things like the Shield Emitter and Cloaking Device from Underrail will go, except there will be even more stuff now and more slots to put it in.
There's a lot of places they could go, but I hope there will be some pretty creative cyber gear, like the more interesting hardware from System Shock and augs from Deus Ex. Also that there's interesting balance, and that people will be running characters that don't always use shields, and aren't always using the same cyber gear in general.

Now I want Styg to remake

it actually looks like a proto-UR lol
I feel you cuz, but if you haven't already you need to try Laser Squad, it's also proto-UR and will blow your mind with the sim depth.
Hell it even BTFOs some of Underrail's design at times, like with its AP Allowance system where certain actions cost a % of your current max AP, so you can't become too fatigued to do basic things like accessing inventory, which happens all the time in Underrail.

Wasn't it said before that it'd be in West Underrail?
