Tanks are so based in fact that I'm considering a pistolier tank
That actually opens you up to running riot gear with shield, which can be a lot of fun with the new shield feats. It's a very special build though, you must balance tanking with mobility well.

I see your point but the first turn has always been very important in Underrail, because both you and the enemy can totally checkmate each other during it.
When I played a sniper it was possible to completely forget about using traps or psi. It was even possible to play with minimal stealth and heavy armor. That's not really the impression I got of how old snipers used to be.
I think this is because you not only get more shots total, but also decreased cooldown on Aimed Shot, and just more damage overall. Technically there was a nerf on Critical Power, but that was around when specialization points were added, and with those you can raise your damage higher than it was before the nerf.
Yeah, with old versions you're probably better off bringing psi so you can use premeditated TK proxy for light to enable ambush and get your crits from that. Or take pyromaniac and put a premed thermo destab on whoever you use your aimed shot on and hope the explosion sets people on fire for light.
On second thought, old versions would be from before the destab nerf, so you should definitely go with that. Get that nice giant destab damage.

I don't know how I feel about this new art style they've been showing off so far. Maybe I'm just overly attached to the look of the original, but this 3d looking stuff doesn't feel as comfy

Atm the original looks better but the 3d looking stuff is easier to mod (improved artstyle, models, animations and textures).

Basically it will be hard for Styg and the company to make Infusion look as better as the original but it's doable. I still trust them.

Working on gear equipping animations at the moment, among other things.

Unlike in Underrail 1, you'll be able to swap your gear even in combat, but it will take some time.

I didn't expect this type of animations in a game like Underrail, i really doubt that anyone here even thought that this was needed in Infusion. On other hand i like when games have details like this, it shows the effort that was put into them.

what outside of a few places underail is a ugly game if freddy krueger transported someone into a 90s adventure game slashed their eyeballs and left them there for all eternity they be in underrail.
