Dragon Age 2 already had a transsexual character. Maybe more than one.

From the latest PoE update post, Branden Adler's introduction with a concept art: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/85589-update-106-new-obsidian-game-announced/

Announcing Tyranny - Obsidian's Newest RPG

At GDC 2016, Obsidian and Paradox announced our upcoming title, Tyranny!

Tyranny is a different take on the classic RPG story, where evil is victorious and you are, more or less willingly, a part of the conquering army. You have power in this world; lots of it, and your choices matter. Choice and consequence are core to the game and it has a branching narrative that ensures each game will be different. Learn more about Tyranny!

The Dragon Age IIing is complete. :)

Well, almost. We need to know if evil romances are in.

Our only hope of getting an Obsidian RPG with TB combat is if Bioware makes one first. Notice me Bioware-senpai!

Pathfinder Adventure is a turn based card game for tablets. :)

It's also Obsidian's Temple of Elemental Evil in that it's a 1:1 adaptation of an existing product http://www.amazon.com/Pathfinder-Adventure-Card-Game-Runelords/dp/1601255500

Great, now they just need to make real games for a real platform with an art style that doesn't try to mimic generic Newgrounds flash animation by garbage artists!

IMO the key to making cooldowns feel good is having enemies that are truly aggressive enough to make you feel the sting of the timer, when the ability isn't available. Unfortunately, CRPG enemies rarely are. Somehow, you always find a way to kind of hunker down and wait the cooldown out.

I imagine it would work better in something like DOTA where the enemy is another human being.

Cooldowns need to be tied to another mechanic.
Cooldown-only limitations to ability use is moronic and ends up the dragon age way, ie you press the key when the shit's up like a monkey.
Need mana or whatever. And not in the retarded way like wow or league of lol etc. In the good way like dota, ie you cast your stun and you're fucking out of mana. C&c confirmed for doto. Do I help my friend and lose all my mana ? Do I leave him to die like a fuckwit and learn a couple more russian insults ? C&c.

Just. Not just cooldowns, that sucks.

edit : double checked and dragon age actually had mana/whatever. I guess it goes to the retarded mana implementation category then. Cheers. C&c be with you.

So, cooldowns are like anal sex - if you didn't like it as a kid, chances are you won't like it as an adult either?

How dare they engage narrative and say something with their characters! How dare they embrace the freedom science fiction and fantasy provide them in not only representing diversity properly, but engaging those very real and topical issues through the lenses of their creations!

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/please-no-political-rubbish.915517/

I'm really worried this'll just be used as an opportunity to shill for a particular political opinion, like they might put an entire faction dedicated to 'liberating the working man because the state is evil~~~!!!' without any further justification.

I don't know the new Obsidian team.. Are they equally as good at the ones who made KOTOR?

Please don't start a political argument it was an example

 Totally not a troll.
