I hope this game's development never ends. This is the most entertainment I've gotten from a AAA studio in years.

I don't know, ME3 still seems the most entertaining. At least Bioware was raping their own worthless franchise, not to mention they were delivering lulz in spaded months after the release.

The word "dickhead", or the abominable buttrape they are doing to the true Thief. Which is worse and why?

Well being called a Dickhead is worse for Master Taffer because here on the Dex he has no moderator privates or backup to hand out infractions just for breathing. And the buttrape of Thief is what has kept the :butthurt: flowing for the past 145 pages. So I would take the Buttrape since at least it often lapses into divine comedy.

They at least had a fanbase that was excited for the game before release. EM can't give away free vacations associated with this thing.

Then again the broken mess that will finally be released as thaif will be pretty entertaining too. Especially if they keep desperately stripping their "improvements" like the XP system at the last minute, in an attempt to make a game that appeals to someone.

TTLG has always been full of limp-dicked gullible faggots, I stopped visiting there some years ago when they were eating up Ken Levine's bullshit about how great Bioshock 1 would be.

The only thing of worth TTLG ever did was ban Viktoria/Thiefessa which I am sure caused her infinite amounts of butthurt, shame I wasn't there to see which straw she used to finally brake the camels back. But after they did that and Vae could no longer destroy her on a regular basis there was no point in going there anymore.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
My only interactions with TLLG is through the Thief Fan Missions sub-forum, I ignore the other parts of the site on purpose. Even so, it was in the FM forum that I discovered that TLLG is THE tightest circle-jerk "public" community that I've ever come across on the Internet. At least that was the case a few years back, I've heard that some of the "old guard" have moved on, so things might have changed.

They also gulped down the release of Fallout 3, turning their noses up at the old Fallout guard were seen as unreasonable cunts grasping at straws trying to find reasons to hate the game (even BEFORE RELEASE, OMG!). I find it all a little ironic, considering the current situation.

TTLG is a lot like RPGWatch. Both highly insular and insufficiently hardcore at the same time. It's a bit weird.

They do a great job with modding, though.

Well...it is a fan forum for a company that was famous for their first person perspective games.

I can't quite wrap my head around how they could ban Thiefessa (which is an open secret, yet any mention of the event is swiftly censored out of your post by the moderators) but now this chucklefuck is trying to argue with me that whether or not a TTLG member is also an Eidos moderator is irrelevent, and TTLG should be some sort of "safe space" where any damage a member is doing to the Thief community should be entirely ignored. Time to abandon ship.

Speaking of Viktoria. Vae on the TTLG just had this to say
She's basically a promotional agent, as is abundantly clear...Actually, she once told me she "moderates" at "8 official forums" doing this kind of work.
Two sub forums was two to many forums for me. That's it I'm sticking to the Dex

Square Enix has "discussed" letting Eidos work on Final Fantasy - could be "very interesting"

The answer, in brief, is that the publisher's open to the idea but has nothing to announce for the moment. "Obviously, Square Enix bought out Eidos a number of years ago, and now we have direct access to American development teams," observed Abe. "That's certainly been discussed within the company, the possibility of say, Eidos or maybe someone else to look after or maybe take on the Final Fantasy series.

"The whole thing about the Final Fantasy series is that for every iteration, for every game we do, we have a very different game," chimed in Toriyama. "So the development team is also different very time, so that there's different ideas and different concepts driving it.

"So obviously within that framework, having a very different type of team could work. So if we got the right team of people, it could produce something very interesting in the end." As for Eidos - the developer's made a name for itself of late as the inheritor of classic videogame properties, having put Deus Ex back on the map.

So I was unaware that Eidos is a talented studio that might save Square's other franchises.

Well at least that Taffer fellow is admitting that they're making this game for the disabled. It's a start, I guess.

What posts are you referring to? I remember there being posts that argued that the "alert" icons and other bullshit were for the sake of hearing impaired, is this the same thing?

I know the exact right person who could revive Faggotry Final and make it Final Fantasy again:

:drink:

You mean shit on the so far established lore and redesign in his own image, right? Gray Fantasy.

You mean shit on the established lore that gets redesigned in nearly every iteration, right?

Nah, new worlds and storylines aside, it's all very consistent throughout. MCA would deconstruct FF until there's nothing resembling the original left.

Good. It's obvious Square Enix is stuck in their own little circle jerk so maybe a major shake-up is exactly what they need.

Final Fantasy is an example of what happens when the creative process becomes inbred to the magnitude of european royalty. At this point any fresh perspective would be beneficial.
