Another story driven game with the same action formula from New Eidos, great! Waiting for 75% off.

Not having to play like a thief in a game called Thief is by far my favorite.
We already played a game called Tomb Raider where you mostly aren't raiding tombs.

Project: Eternity Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
can no longer jum at will....the developers thought it was immersion breaking. Rope arrows are also limited to pre-set points.
I heard it before, but it always makes me wanting to burn down Eidos Montreal. :rage:

This... this is it. I have seen the exact place and time where a series has died.

Here lies Thief (1998-2013). I would say "rest in peace", but since this is the catchphrase of a protagonist of the series that ruined it I will not. It will be remembered fondly.

The series had already died. This is some grotesque zombie raised from it's corpse.

And just like all the retarded characters in zombie movies who think "oh that's still my wife, I can't shoot her in the face", there will be plenty of gamers who think "it's still Thief, I'm sure the dna has been respected".

Seriously, what the fuck? It has been clear from the beginning that this game would have no respect whatsoever for what made its predecessors great, and this summary didn't tell us anything that we don't already know, but there is not a single paragraph here that doesn't contain something facepalm-worthy. I'm not even exaggerating, as I read it my thought process went something like, "Oh man, bros are going to tear that line apart... no wait, this one's even worse... holy shit, how stupid can this get?" Every article written about this game has included obvious indications of the decline, but never before has it been so succinctly concentrated in a perfect storm of derp.

Garrett's new visual design was made to reflect the mroe dynamic action oriented gameplay, similar to the design of Altair in Assassin's Creed(also designed by Cantin). The new Garrett's movement was made to reflect that of a ballet dancer, which according to the developers is "the most quickest, strongest way to move"
We need a codex troll that PUKES VOMIT, but this will do for now.

I dont understand how some of you try to salvage some of this piece of crap when, things like, the darkmod exist.
"Ohh but if we remove this shitty part and these crappy features it might be playable"

The French language is actually a fabrication. The French is a psychic species who hide this ability from n'wah foreigners by shouting nonsense at one another. Over time they worked this into an abomination of a language, forcing foreigners to put themselves through the hell of learning it for their amusement.

Goddamn, this looks like a Thief game the way Woody Allen looks like Conan the Cimmerian.
Also what's with all that smoke and having to consume Poppy flowers or whatever? Thief: Crackhead edition? Mothertaffing :decline:.

Man, these guys aren't even good bullshitters like the other AAA hack houses are.

Crom, I have never prayed to you before -I have no tongue for it. But grant me one request, grant me the critical and commercial failure of this game. And if you do not listen, den da heil wid you.

Time to bring out the heavy artillery!
