I posted this in the Tears of the Kingdom thread, but imo, BotW is a thousand times better as a game than TotK. First, everything was original, whereas in TotK the world feels reused. Second, BotW is just much more coherent as a game, it's an adventure game essentially, with exploration at the center, and combat, story, and puzzles supporting that. TotK changes that into a game centered around construction, mechanical stuff, and puzzle solving, and it just doesn't work nearly as well.

Replaying, finding so far that the shrines are worse than in Tears, which are the main thing to play for. Lamer tools, more obtuse puzzles.

I wish you could reduce frequency of or turn off the music. Don't need the same musics constantly playing over ambience.

I don't think I paid the 10,000 rupee fairy when I played this on Switch. Think at the time I assumed that there was some way to reduce the price. Did it this time by selling a lot of crap. But I didn't have the supplies for her to finish upgrading any of my clothes. It's lame that this is all the fairies are now used for, thanks to the giant open world that makes the progression of previous Zelda games impossible. That's the drawback of too much space and freedom.

Don't remember if the fairies had other purposes in Tears of the Kingdom.

Zelda never looks like a princess of Hyrule in this game. Either she has the pious appearance with that simple robe or the adventurous appearance with the blue top and leather (?) pants.

(Red Dead Redemption's horses are much too small.)

This is the worst version of Zora's Domain. Because everything is so separated by all these bridges and they're way above the water, like they're people. Don't remember which thread I said it in, but would be nice if you interacted with them mostly under the water, like the fish people they are, after acquiring the ability to breathe water. Imagine an underwater store.

I want Zelda to have more consistent art. The designs are all over the place and time. These '70s afros and sunglasses, just no. The Chinese dragons and violins, NO. Turning Karariko Village into an isolated Japan, no, no, no. Ancient guardian machines being so futuristic is weird too.

Riju has the most sex appeal and is like twelve.

Not in this outfit. Eyesore.

I don't want so many armors in the next Zelda. Becomes tedious switching for attributes. Only the green tunic and maybe a disguise, thanks.

Never mind, Breath of the Wild has a worse main story than Tears of the Kingdom. I said after finishing Tears that I couldn't remember if Breath was worse, but that Tears felt worse by virtue of being more of the same. But Breath is really just the four mediocre divine beasts and the castle. I thought there was more. Worst Zelda campaign I have ever played. Will keep collecting, though.
