Codex guild would need some kind of xtreme rp rules, like humans only.

The dye system is totally ruining all those great looking armors. They become so flat and bright, like super hero costumes.
Hordes of rainbow colored players...
Hmm actually if the pvp population gets as hardcore as DaoC, there should be more black or camouflage-y dyed costumes. Except for Guardians and Warriors who will probably happily wear pink.

Also, on taking others into personal quests, if we were on the same personal story quest, it let the other have the option of counting it as complete.

Norns please, fuck humans.

Hmm yeah the Thief does have some utility in arena PVP. But what about WvW? I really didn't see any skills in the builder that would have more group utility.

Rather like how much mobility the Mesmer can add to a WvW squad, though.
The builder is outdated as fuck and is missing a whole bunch of Trap skills for one.
Hm that makes sense. Does anyone know if there's a more updated source, for example any GW2 wikis?

Herp derp, I didn't notice it was official before. Makes sense given the URL, but mehhhhhhh

Pfft, one ape bigger than the other.
Less Korean looking, more interesting story, better environment. =p It's like rolling Midgard instead of rolling Albion!

I knew there was attention to detail, I've been aproached by a few NPC's in the beta asking for my help in a upcoming event. But I really didn't expect that much detail, props to Arenanet.
The intro areas are always overloaded with features that seldom show up later.

The area following the intro human zone (17?-25?) had them. It also had a cool Steampunk cave and a skill challenge that had me laugh.

Most important thing to remember in KKKodex guild is that all armor must be dyed grey and red.

Speaking of dyes, did anyone figure out how to use those Dye Seeds? I had a bunch but had no idea where the NPC for 'em was.

the npc is supposedly in your home instance, but i guess you have to spend some time into looking for him/her or maybe further the personal story a bit...

Cool, thanks.

And speaking of drops, I have to say I'm a bit... intrigued by the contents of the Mystic Boxes. Now, I had actually unlocked one, you get some keys as you progress through the personal story, that's not the intriguing part. The actual contents were curious, though. Among them was a potion that gave you double XPs... as long as you keep killing things within a certain time limit, and killing something refreshed the timer. That seemed kind of interesting, at least - the buffs weren't flat-out "Bonus XP for an hour" or other generic stuff that I've been running into. Anyone else unlock a Mystic Box, by any chance?

I opened one but I can't remember exactly what I got, some common things and a few potions that transformed you into something, I was a bit disappointed so I didn't pay much attention.

GW had a few of those. Some had a buff that lasted as long as you kept killing stuff every minute or so, one that buffed as long as you kept killing bosses every 2-3 minutes and 1 or 2 others. Quite pointless when you're max lvl and already have all the skills you want ;)

Hey fellas, can you give some performance evaluations along with a general outline of your system specs? I've got the guts of a new rig on the dining table and this would be a good time to do some upgrades if necessary. Thanks.

I have what constitutes a mid-range PC at the moment, a quadcore i5 at 2,8GHz, NVidia 460 GTX, 1 GHz, 4GB of 1333 RAM and a somewhat slow-ish HDD.

The game ran perfectly on High, nearly no issues at any point save for Charr capital where my framerate would sometimes drop through the floor, seen some MASSIVE PvE battles, again, almost no problem at all with those. On Ultra, it ran a little sluggishly, but since they promised that it'd be optimized more before launch, I'm expecting to play on Ultra without any changes to my set-up.

Also good to keep in mind is that Ultra doesn't add THAT much graphical goodness at the moment, AND DX11 wasn't an option to enable (And generally it improves framerates a lot when available). All in all, you won't need a monster build to have it look as good as it was intended to, it seems.

I don't think it's well optimized at all for any system at this point. If you do care about the performance of the beta at this point, I have a 3.3 GHz Phenom x720 (unlocked to 4 cores) and an AMD 5770 for gfx. Get like 10 fps when it's crowded, 20-40 fps when not.

But I think the game will be more optimized by launch, and right now it also lacks useful gfx options such as character density, effect density, animation quality, etc. that can go quite far in making the fps drop less harsh when there are more people around.

No problem, then. I figured they'd be mid-range friendly. I was getting a 6850 anyway so I think that will be fine.

I have a Q9550 OC'd to 3.6 with a 6950 unlocked to a 6970 @ 1000/1450, and the game ran fine. Even in PvP with many players on the screen it ran fine, and in the towns too. From what I am lead to believe however, the sliders didn't do much of anything in beta, so I'm not sure what the game will be like graphics wise at launch. My guess is that these were the 'normal' graphics settings, so as long as you don't expect perfect performance at max settings in very congested environments, I think you will be fine.
