They're going to nerf her like they did with SFV before release aren't they?

Hopefully not. I can definitely imagine ResetEra bitching about it like pre-Reset GAF did with SF5. But if Capcom are going back to that, it at least somewhat indicates they're over giving a shit about online outrage from people that aren't giving them money. Capcom probably looked at what sells as DLC for SF5 and saw it didn't line up with what people online pretend to be mad about.

Some random thoughts. Only time will tell how these mechanics play out in a real match, I found IV and V way too defensive for my tastes and too easy to pull FADC to Ultra. On V you also get on blockstun once some characters pop V-Trigger, never mind their normals like Bison, and even though you have V-Reversal and V-Shift, the length of the blockstun to build meter is just too long, giving more opportunities for people to open you up. I'm glad the mechanic is gone but I never had that much hatred towards it as many '09ners had when they switched from IV to V. Also my dream of having difficult mechanical throws will never be realized seeing as how the controls are getting even more simplified, make no mistake that normies and scrubs will remain so since Fighting games in a sense isn't so much about difficult mechanical inputs but about spacing, match knowledge, frame knowledge, normals/neutral and just overall fundamentals knowing when to be offensive/defensive, the rhythm. Clowns like SonicFox and Leffen have tried other games and they still struggle to place within top 8, and those were games that are already simplified from their previous versions like Strive and KOFXV.

Remember that SFIV revitalized, at least in the popular sphere, fighting games again and it was extremely popular, and that game had one frame links with "difficult controls" yet it was the most hyped game when it came competitive wise. SFV ruined all that with the game's speed being even slower, simplified combos and of course no charge-partition when Urien was finally introduced, a big step down from Third Strike, no surprised seeing how gimped he was, especially when it came to dashes, something normies are also complaning about, imagine not being able to double tap forward. V feels railroaded in a specific way the developers want you to play as opposed to you having freedom. Simplified controls was also in CVS2 yet no one complained or even remember that game.

SF6 can work if Capcom plays it right, the single player could be a good introduction to new players, single player content that many complained SFV didn't have and could be a fun beat em up mini-game. That's the one thing that has retained many players in MK, the single player content. Some characters in the concept images look good, Luke and Jaime looks fine, but not Ryu and Chun.

I'm not sure how much I buy that leak. Seems like guessing based on stuff that's already known. I mean, we've already seen the alt Cammy costume leaked, and it doesn't look all covered up like they're saying. The specifics of why there aren't any SF3 characters (although apparently there are) also sounds made up given they tied the new Jaime character into Yun and Yang.

That's pretty cool, can't wait for day 1 LTG announcer mod.

There probably will be a way to mod the commentator voice lines on PC. So it's definitely a thing, not official though.

Or they could just have dlc commentators that cost 5 euros each the way SC2 has announcers

Can't say that I am not hyped. The art style looks great and the character roster has some interesting new picks too:

why is italy and not uganda represented by knuckles?

I think she might be somewhat of a reference to this Go Nagal manga (and anime) called Iron Virgin Jun. She kind of makes me think of that. Jun is like a wrestling characters though some the MMA-ish look made me wonder...but looking at the old leak from a few months ago it says she's a: Itailian wrestler woman with red hair and an MMA legionnaire look that wears black & gold. So she is a huge wrestler woman.

The leak also says Drunken Fist guy Jamie is the cousin of Yun and Yang. At the moment the official info is just that he looks up to them.

Of the others it's says, and I'll put them in order from left to right.

- "Female Abel"
- Mexican girl in a green tunic with an Aztec weapon (noted to maybe have some kind of relation to T. Hawk)
- Dandy Russian with Psycho Power in a peach/orange colored suit
- American ninja black girl wearing a orange hoodie, black pants, has earbuds and blue highlights in hair and also uses roller skates.
- Chinese assassin lady that wears a black dress and uses poison like FANG from SF5. Hairstyle is like Sawada from Kengan Ashura.

The roller skates aren't in that art for Kimberly, but they might be in the picture of her in the trailer.

Oh yeah, unrelated to the leak, it looks like you'll be able to play a number of classic Capcom arcade games in this. In the VS hub area there's an area called "Game Center" and the arcade cabinets, not all of which are fighting games, have actually Capcom games on them. I'd guess like Shenmue and Yakuza before it the World Tour mode has arcades with actual games in it, and then in VS mode you'll be able to play against and with (because it looks like it might have 1942 up there) other people.

Characters look pretty meh (also, four Americans and only three Japanese?). Not off to a good start...

Looks like Capcom has acquired jackets and sashes/loincloths fetish. Anyway, what are the odds there is a turbo mode in this game? SF has felt slow to me after Alpha, although SF3/TS speed was tolerable and a pleasure to look at at least
