The game is an ugly washed-out mess that lacks color grading and I can only imagine the technical state of it. Anyone who thought No Man's Sky: Gamebryo edition was gonna be any good needs to get their head examined. They haven't demonstrated the ability to deliver on a concept like this since Daggerfall and all those guys left Bethesda 25 years ago.

Honestly it looks exactly what I expected it to be: Fallout in Space! It’s going to be janky as hell but we’re not exactly drowning in space games so I will probably play this.
I wonder what dialogue system will be in this game: same like in f3 and fnv or this atrocity from f4. This will make or break this game for me.
Even Todd has admitted that the F4 system was a mistake so I think they’ll return to their traditional dialogue system.

The FO4 perks are back in all their glory with percentage increases. Also fuck hacking, lockpicking minigames of any kind, the outer worlds did it best.

Has Bethesda ever explained what they have against base attributes in their last few games? Perks are not supposed to be the foundation of a character build system, that's why they're called perks, they're just supposed to be extra.

Its a Bethesda game so we all know its gonna be shit and only question is how soon modders will fix it.

Good example thing I really hated in Fallout 4 was how perks were done. Not their in game effects (well that too) but the window where you pick them, as it was difficult to mod and add additional perks.

I only hope they wont jam gameplay elements behind design limitations that will make them hard to mod.

Your post assumes it's an inevitability that they'll fix it but the question is "can they fix it?" It's a game with 1000 planets coming from a studio that couldn't even get downtown Boston right.

This looked so uninspired. The blocky design, the weapons showcased are nothing but scifi skins of classical guns, the enemy NCPS with the level right next to the health bar, fucking generic space pirates. Todd please.

The game looks very very bad, literally can see the low-poly Fallout 4 ground surface meshes and shapes, with the minimum possible amount of geometry scattered over them to make it look marketable in 2022.
I don't mind the tech, I'm just struggling to zero in on a core visual identity to it, artistically speaking. Some of what we saw made me think of Mass Effect or Star Trek, some of Cyberpunk, some made me think of Star Wars... You'll say these are distinct areas with their own looks, sure, but it just looks a little to heterogenous, like there's no common aesthetic throughline. None of it is terrible but this "NASA-punk" thing, I just don't feel it, you feel me?

You suck, Todd.
Dude, c'mon, Todd's the best part of every Bethesda production.
