ARAM still has a decently sized player pool, the queues are not very long at least. Dominions must be a massive failure, I don't think hardly anyone plays that mode regularly. No idea how TT fares, probably as "well" as it did before it's rework. SR will always be the main thing as long as that's the competitive mode. Maybe if there were ranked solo queue for the other modes they'd do better, or maybe that would just be a pointless waste of resources.

Well, I do look forward to that blizzard moba anyway. And LoL got MOAR action than Dota2 and HoN combined.
And I still think 15 min is a nice fun limit. Getting to fun parts in LoL takes a bit of time now especially since they slowed down the early game in S4. Epic 50 min battles still annoy me to this day.

I'm with you man, Heroes of the Stom looks amazing, though I don't think Dota2 lacks action, what it lacks is players, atrocious queue times and I felt like I was level 1 grinding lol again except the players were way shittier and it was always at least one disconnected player so I haven't been able to actually finish any matches.

But holy hell I had a hour 24 seconds game yesterday, I finished Xin full build mostly with ambient gold (yeah Xin fucking sucks, you can't do anything when people pick these retarded match-ups that are impossible to gank, oh and how about getting hunted in your own jungle because only one lane isn't a complete disaster, yeah I can see something fishy is going on but I didn't expect four people diving me between mid towers with ults when no turrets are down), anyway when I got Last Whisper was when we finally got to close the game because without it the survivors (me, Garen, their leona and sometimes Rene) just kinda tanked each other for a minute and had to back off. Most importantly we won because they started to lose focus more than we did and got caught.

At least in Starcraft 2 the long games escalated into cool stuff like Battlecruiser fleets and just got way harder to control the longer it went on. Here, it's just the squishies instablowing and the tanks being unkillable.

I haven't been following close the EU scene, but Aranae doesn't impress me at all. The only thing he's done is play Vi 3 months before everyone else, besides that he has no impact.

In related news, I got such a boner from seeing Diamond on tanky Eve that I insta-bought her. What a mistake, Eve runs out of mana half the time in a fight. I don't know how some people play her.

I play Dominion a decent amount, simply because when I had a slow ass PC I got sick and tired of the people joining and immediately calling role.

I used to play one match of dominion and then a couple SR and call it a day. It's good for building reflexes but it's god awful in terms of development. Seriously riot literally ignores it and Crystal Scar needs a rework SO BAD. The middle/jungle is completely useless, health packs are too common. The shields at mid would be better replaced with a team wide buff exclusive to one side or the other that way you might get a variation on start that isn't 4 top 1 bot.

Doesn't Infinite Crisis basically have the same map? Is it any fun?

Finally easing back into SR, jungle seems to suit me well.

I'm not really digging the season 4 changes though. At my skill level no one wards ever. It's tempting to just learn to be a good ADC because they're such huge pussies too. My first game in months and I rack up 191 CS in 32 minutes. Shit should not be that easy.

Played him like yesterday or so. Lost the game.
Dont like his jungling, well I dont like any junglers without some kind of sustain or aoe clearing abilities. He's better mid/top with alot more money.
In short, hes good at snowballing but if youre losing lanes you'll get raped or have any use besides being free gold cause you have to build defensive mid/late. If you fall behind, you're fucked. He doesnt need levels that much as he needs money.

I played a few games with him when he was free and I think that he has potential, but he's not freelo. He really does need 1-2 items before he hits his power spike and his farming isn't the best to make that happen. His ganks are also hit or miss and a large part of skillful play is knowing when to ult and how people will react, including your teammates. It's a unique skill that you don't learn with anyone else, it takes practice to have an impact. Just everything about him needs a lot of practice, if you love Pantheon he has a unique dimension to bring to the jungle.

Still easing my way back into the game but it's becoming a blast to play again. Just doing blind pick normals since I feel thats the best way to learn a variety of champs in unique matchups rather than just counterpicking bs.

I've actually never been able to jungle as large a variety of champs as I do now. Xin Zhao and Amumu are almost guaranteed success for me right now. Also did decent as Kha'Zix, I just really feel capable of contributing to an excellent team build now.

Would like to practice mid more. Only had one lobby where I got mid (actually everyone got what they called.) Too bad enemy team dropped and I never played that one. Next game I instalocked Viktor because fuck you, I'm angry. Had a bit of trouble mid lane against Brand Unacceptable, I know. I went 0/2 and then I turned it around and traded until I had 4 kills to his 6. Then I took his tower after a good gank from my jungler, solved that problem. Me and brand had about 80% of the kills so we just tried to out-carry each other, Viktor wins that easy. Brand does high damage but he will never win a teamfight in the jungle the way Viktor will. Do people not realize it's nearly impossible to dodge Viktor's W, E, and R in Jungle? I just kept mass stunning them and forcing them to RELINQUISH DA FLESH.

Still waiting for team builder to go live so I can actually practice mid. As it stands, I'll at least have Lulu. The new items make harassing with her easy again. Q + /L

I think Draft is alot better if you want to practice a certain role. If you're first pick you're guaranteed that role and you also get to ban your worst counters. But I wouldn't worry about counter picks in normals, just like you people already know what they want to play/practice before they enter the lobby, and will pick that no matter what.

Draft is a lot better for practicing what you want, IMO. If you're an early pick, stick to pick order > call order. If not, then bitch and berate your team into giving you your role. Or take it anyway.


Hmm, six game win streak. Unusually long for me. Why the hell couldn't I get this streak in the placement series instead? Didn't get to skip the promo series, so the streak will likely end as soon as I start playing my promotion games.

Hmm, uneven matches lately. Either we stomp or get stomped. I go up to 60+ points then back to 0 now third time in a row.

And I actually beat Janna in lane for once, that bitch is like kryptonite to my Blitz. Mostly thanks to stupid Draven that couldnt comprehend that I'll pull him if he goes for the axe rebound.

Goddamnit I'm locked into playing basically Renekton and Karma all the time, it just always seems to make the most sense to pick them when I don't know what I'm up against, and when I know - Renekton or Karma. I'm such a diverse player. But what about Zac? Well what if that Elise is gonna top just for old times sake, now I'm against a bully who can just troll my ult and kill me ok Renekton.

Maybe Mystary is right that its easier this time around. MMR and rank should be about the same level but its a clusterfuck of last season mmr, this seasons, duoq carrying and so on. You get people of higher rank but playing at lower level, or they forgot how to tryhard. In last game I was first pick but had 3 last season platinums under me. How?
Im just glad that I didnt have to grind like last season for 400 games just to get to gold. Yesterday a 6 game winstreak was enough.

And suomi, youre pretty good with Zac, just pick him and pwn unless youre up against Rumble, Mundo or Elise. Or pick Slamdunker instead. Karma cant carry and Rene gets outscaled late game.
One of the benefits playing Zac is that people dont see him that often and forget how to play against him, its one of the reasons I think why my jungle Malph is doing great.
